If I had to pick one referee to make an important call in a big moment in a match it would definitely be Martin Sludden. bdbuddah (Meath) - Posts: 1360 - 30/07/2016 17:22:01 1892331 Link 0 |
Nothing smug about it.You blame all and sundry when it comes to referess. McEntee is a good manager if he is to be the man but you would have to be stupid to think it's all the referees and the managers fault.Ah well ! I suppose we all can't be geniuses. Up da Dubs! When was the last time Mayo didn't con the referee to win some handy frees? valley84 (Westmeath) - Posts: 1890 - 30/07/2016 19:32:24 1892432 Link 0 |
Rory Hickey certainly wouldn't make a list of best referees I don't think Douglas_Hyde (Roscommon) - Posts: 90 - 30/07/2016 19:33:23 1892434 Link 0 |
He'd an absolute shocker in the Ulster final anyway.

Next weekend the ref who ever he is will have to make a choice he usually doesn't have to make when Mayo or Tyrone are playing Which team to screw They're both usually at the receiving end cluichethar (Mayo) - Posts: 454 - 30/07/2016 20:21:04 1892471 Link 0 |
Ok , read this slowly and I might sink in, refs are biased against Meath, no doubt about that, however that has nothing to do with meaths demise, is that clear enough for you??? Now read that 20 times , and remember it, good lad. God I hate the school holidays on hs. Every clown comes on. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 30/07/2016 21:23:49 1892524 Link 0 |
At kast you are starting to see the error you made and are backtracking. That's understandable enough as you you don't seem to be great at the short term memory stuff.Always happy to oblige though. I accept your apology. Off with you now like a good lad. Dubh_linn (Dublin) - Posts: 2312 - 30/07/2016 21:48:57 1892549 Link 0 |

I would disagree - he took a pro-defender approach equally for both sides - otherwise the only way of scoring would have been who got the most soft free's One black card was a bad call but he acted on the advice of the umpire / the hit on Mcglynn which led to a cavanagh score was let go correctly - the only other important call was he missed the foul on McFadden which may well have changed the result -,but that was one decision ruanua (Donegal) - Posts: 4966 - 30/07/2016 22:59:28 1892591 Link 0 |
You would, no doubt, like to have a certain Cavan ref for all your games.

Is this a trick question or can you come up with an answer?
