There is something wrong with it as it's not an official attendance.
The point of the word attendance is people who attended an event not how many people were entitled to attend.
it hasn't been the done thing in the gaa until the national league final this year as there had been sell outs for all dublins semi finals since 2010 but wasn't always announced as 82,300 as the attendance.

But theres nothing wrong either as they can say tickets sold and give a higher figure. Its a form of PR and many sides in many sports do it to show a higher figure and it most certainly will have been done before and will be done again in GAA

Hopefully this link works. If not search for Courtyard Hotel Leixlip in Facebook. They're doing a deal for the 28th, a bit of grub, bus return to Croker and match ticket for €45. Went up yesterday lunchtime with phone number so maybe some tickets left?

Anyone have a guess at attendance this Sunday? The upper Hogan and Cusack tiers were opened last week as demand needed. Mayo will bring a big following. Maybe some Tipp people are hopping on the bandwagon? Neutrals? I wonder will Galway/Donegal minors bring a few....

I'm heading down as a neutral thanks to prebooking my return train ticket before Mayo disposed of us. Wouldn't expect more than 30,000.
