Why the hate for Meath?

Mayo - for one I'd have to quit my job. My boss would be unbearable!
Meath - I'm a Dub, no explanation needed! And my cousins would be equally as unbearable as my boss! ;)
Kerry - Just because they're Kerry.

1.Dublin

Its natural especially as I am from close enough to the Dublin border.

Outside of ourselves winning I tend to go with what maybe described as an underdog like to see the silverware do the rounds although rarely happens , as to who I don't like winning probably Kerry due purely to childhood scaring late 70s and for thirty years there after.

It used to be the Meath footballers, but since they are not winning any big trophies lately the Meath hurlers are taking the public enemy number one spot.

they will be well beaten...and Brennan will be wiped out at midfield just as he was in the game they already played when Sheehan and Donaghy gave him a lesson. He has looked well playing against lesser players in a few games, it's silly off people to be handing him an all-stars this early. Lets judge him when he dominates midfield against teams like Kerry, Throne & Dublin

Meath are the Liverpool of Gaelic football, haven't won in years and they're still telling people about how great they used to be as if it were yesterday

I don't see that in Meath if I am honest. We generally have to deal with the arrogant Dubs who have moved across the border! :P

I can't really fault that point of view. Some days you are simply forced to agree with the Tyrone lads. :)

Honestly

1. Galway - I have many Galway cousins who won't let me forget 96/97 - 98. They were quiet last decade but have got very loud again in recent weeks.
2. Kerry - enough hammerings dished out to us to last a lifetime....Limerick topped it though.
3. Dublin - I am torn because I like their style of play but our recent 'history' with them means I love to hate them too. I did support them in last year's final though.

I suspect we all dislike/cheers different teams at different periods depending on the time. I remember loads of Dubs supporting us in previous All Ireland's up to 2006...now some of them would shout against us if we were playing ISIS....(probably the same for a few Mayo fan's too). BANTER

Any team that has had a period of dominance. It's nice to see new teams come to the fore.

Oh and Meath.

1 in the last 7 and Kerry have never had that absolutely invincible aura, we were very much beatable in the eyes of other teams.
