Donegal v Cork

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I can't wait to see the all new attacking Donegal tomorrow. It will be like a totally transformed team and tactics from Gallagher. His reputation is at stake and an all out team attacking preformance should see Donegal smash Cork and set them up for a classic against Dublin!

And be sure and tell me what you thought of it tomorrow night
Also we are 33/1 with some bookies at the moment-- a team of All Ireland medals and All Stars.
Beat Cork and we will be around 16/1. Beat Dublin and its around 3/1-4/1 So get on now @ 33/1 as it won't last.

Sam, you have no idea how far off the mark you are.

I don't for one minute expect to see an all out attacking performance from Donegal, it's not in their nature, but I do hope to see a performance where they try to win the game by playing positive defensive & offensive football over the 70 minutes.

Really enjoyable game so far, great to see both teams playing open football. Some great scores from both teams, Paddy Mc Brearty is putting on an exhibition of point taking.

So, A brilliant first half and a good start for Cork. If you run at Donegal they are vulnerable. A lot of space afforded to Cork in the first quarter. That said the second quarter Donegal bossed it and showed what they are good at. Defending in numbers, winning the ball backin their own half and breaking at serious pace. Paddy McBrearty is an amazing forward. Cork lead by 1 but I genuinely think Donegal will just have a bit too much.

Enjoyable match so far.

If cork believe in themselves they can win it.They need to keep going at Donegal.

Entertaining first half, Donegal got a couple of questionable calls, but they tend to even out during a game, however both teams actually trying to play some football, which is very encouraging.

Doubt any team will fear Cork or Donegal. Very poor defending and some poor wides. Although there has been some great scores. There has been no intensity or desire to win the game by the look of it.

Nice game to watch for the neutral. McBreaty and MCHugh had great games , especially the former. ..

Donegal playing some interesting hand passing tactics .Strangely nice to watch not in a typical football type of way. They screened players and loped around almost in a 3man wheel basketball type of way and layed it off whilst players ran the opposite direction then used long hand passing successfully.

Whats new there. Even Counihan's teams couldn't put teams away and Donegal punished us today. Really feel cork let this game go. Best of luck to Donegal going forward

Dreadfull performance by cork this really is as bad as the pasting we took from kerry a few years ago in the park. what was the management doing mcbreedy had a field day double up on him but nothing, five points up i taught happy days but no sat back with no intensity let donegal back in to it and in the end up they fully deserved it as they wanted it more,no creativity o neil missing a easy scoring chance to bring it back to 2 points everybody afraid to kick it hand pass it back and sideways perish the taught we could move it forward. two points up in second half but no kick on and no score for almost 25 minutes in the second half.as pete canavan said came was there for taking but no we could not do it im angry fed up and thourghly cheesed off. BACK TO BASICS COUNTY BOARD THIS CANNOT CONTINUE ps well done donegal

There aren't many fearing Tyrone either, you were lucky to scrape through the Ulster final, Mayo will end your season.

Such bitterness? I was kicking and blocking every ball for Donegal there! Stunned by that!
