With all due respect for their upcoming quarter final opponents , Kerry, since losing to Down in 2010, bar Donegal, the rest have all been incredibly fortunate quarter final opponents for Kerry to face. Dublin likewise have had some very easy matches along the same road bar Cork in 2013. Dublin's list doesn't look as tough in the context of the matches that they turned out to be. Tyrone in 2011 were a shadow of the team they were the year previously while Monaghan in 2014 had only played 6 days before they got beaten out the door in their quarter final. Donegal or Cork could well beat Dublin in 2 weeks but in terms of the overall context of tough quarter final opponents, that would only register as one more to a small list.
It's not Kerry nor Dublin's fault, the competition allows for these games to happen. As I've said on other threads it's not fair but no one in power seems too bothered about changing it
