Connolly has rarely done well against the top team on the big days, has been ordinary in the 3 finals IMO

Talent wise Connolly is probably the most gifted football of the last 6 or 7 years but he hasn't quite backed it up with the level of consistent performances that Cavanagh has, Cavanagh has been outstanding for over a decade.

Don't be getting carried away about him now folks,, a great player but would tend to take the odd dive !!! Look at Tyrone Down match in Omagh couple of years ago to get a replay topdownfan (Down) - Posts: 555 - 23/07/2016 22:52:59 1888882 Link 1 |

If you want to talk about great players talk about them in the positions they played in. Awwwwnow (Cavan) - Posts: 1050 - 24/07/2016 08:53:06 1888963 Link 0 |
So basically raking a dive means he can't be a great player. If that's the case then you have to discount every single forward in the last 40 or 50 years because all forwards take dives in order to win frees. uibhfhaili1986 (Offaly) - Posts: 1296 - 24/07/2016 10:33:32 1889006 Link 0 |

I did.Unfortunately this forum is really poorly designed in that you quoted post doesn't appear above and you cannot edit you post after it goes up. You were implying that Cavanagh was a lesser player than some people think because he might have dived. uibhfhaili1986 (Offaly) - Posts: 1296 - 24/07/2016 12:44:32 1889075 Link 0 |
