This thread is stupid. Tyrone may not even meet Dublin until the final, to presume we will even get there so easily is crazy. Mayo/Donegal could just as easy be the ones giving Dublin a rattle or even Galway (bit more unlikely but they are playing well). No, I wear my ulster jersey? I support any ulster team after my team goes out as do most counties in Ulster. The very very very quiet Down folk on the other hand seem to have a chip on their shoulder and it doesn't take a genius to work out why! redhanddefender (Tyrone) - Posts: 913 - 19/07/2016 14:42:11 1886350 Link 0 |
Course you would. Lol. It's what you do.

Cant see Tyrone living with Dublin or an ever improving Mayo team.. They are just too physical, and unlike Donegal, Mayo and Dublin wont run out of legs. Vishred (Mayo) - Posts: 303 - 19/07/2016 19:40:21 1886618 Link 0 |
I know we have a big ask now , I think we will beat Cork and if we get to meet Dublin I would not put it passed us to beat Dublin. So to me Cork is the big one , beat them and we have nothing to loose against Dublin. I went by the same lines last week , beat Tyrone and we miss the big boys. I watched Mayo Sat night and even though they won easily Kildare presented them with the goals. Plus Kildare had goal chances but failed to take them. And K McLaughlin as a sweeper -- I don't think so I would worry for Mayo if they were to have to play a game similar to Sunday's Ulster final. Indeed Dublin would struggle against a defensive set up like we saw from Donegal / Tyrone on Sunday. Don't forget J McCarthy is going to be missed and what I saw Sunday Dublin's full back line is suspect. SamOnErrigal (Donegal) - Posts: 1427 - 19/07/2016 21:48:54 1886691 Link 0 |
Mayo must be delighted that Tyrone have been singled out as the Dubs biggest threat. They are now firmly in the long grass... Dublin wouldn't want them in the QF... roundball (Tipperary) - Posts: 2514 - 19/07/2016 22:07:15 1886701 Link 0 |
Stay on the boat and keep paddling.. If you were at the other few games Tyrone played in the championship you would appreciate their plan a football. A thing of beauty. They had to play Donegal on Sunday and had to seriously change their game to play them never mind beat them. Donegal had a desperate game plan for Sunday and Tyrone had to mirror it to beat them. Wait to they get to the big open spaces of Croke Park then you will see how they can play lovely flowing football.

Mayo had no legs in the first half against Fermanagh and we all know how yez eventually won and it wasn't playing football.

If both Dublin and Tyrone make it to the final, and it's quite a big if the way things stand, they will give us one hell of a game, of that I have no doubt! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8596 - 19/07/2016 22:47:46 1886737 Link 1 |
Are you one of those mayo fans that just turns up for croke park games lol! What have you been watching, have seen nothing from mayo yet to put them anywhere near dublins level. Tyrone certainly haven't proved anything and we seem to have the toughest quarter from all the provincial winners. However, I would not fear mayo whatsoever at present. They may be improving and some new things are starting to click but they will need more than that when they face a well drilled side like tyrone. Mayo turning back to the likes of andy moran is a bad sign to. Tyrone will test some of these lads legs. Kevin mc laughlin will get dragged ragged all over the place redhanddefender (Tyrone) - Posts: 913 - 19/07/2016 23:09:59 1886748 Link 0 |

Topdownfan/ Topantityronefan It's very simple- the majority of Down people simply do not want to see other northern counties win the all Ireland. 2setsofrules (Down) - Posts: 99 - 20/07/2016 08:35:19 1886794 Link 0 |
Firstly I'm a down man then a ulster man, i for one would love to see my own county win ulster and all irelands more often but being honest the way our county is run thats not going to happen for many a year. Yourjoking (USA) - Posts: 706 - 20/07/2016 09:13:13 1886800 Link 3 |
Couldn't agree more with this post. Tyrone were better in the last 10 minutes which pushed them over the line and they did deserve it. Dublin have played nobody and now with McCarthy gone I wouldn't be surprised if Donegal/ Cork put it up to them.
