You think everyone is against you but I don't remember any punit been as negative about a Ulster team as brolly has been about roscommon in the 2 games rte have covered this year.

Good point. Galway got a fair pasting too Combined with the Aidan O'Shea outrage, surely there must be an anti Connacht bias? *Feigned outrage for 10 pages... TheMaster (Mayo) - Posts: 16187 - 14/07/2016 11:17:31 1882988 Link 0 |
I assume you must have missed his criticism of Armagh and his personal attacks on Ciaran McGeeeney.

I don't think he comes across much different as a pundit than he did to me as a player. Was a great guy when things were going well and he was allowed to do as he pleased, smiley and pally with the ref etc. Sure he was known for some dirty tackles in his time! oso (Antrim) - Posts: 168 - 14/07/2016 12:26:25 1883047 Link 0 |
I think anything Brolly says can be taken with a pinch of salt. Attention seeker. Mayonman (Galway) - Posts: 1835 - 14/07/2016 13:14:05 1883096 Link 0 |
Totally disagree. What McCann did cannot be condoned but it was not unique. In recent years other players in high profile games (including Aidan O'Shea) have dived in the same embarrassing way. So why then was it ok 'going for the kill' on McCann? You and others like you can make excuses for O'Shea and convince yourself that he didn't dive but most neutral observers will remain highly sceptical given his fondness for diving in recent years. Tiernan McCann was relatively unknown prior to his diving and received an unprecedented level of abuse but O'Shea with his history of diving is still receiving the benefit of the doubt. Surely at this point it is ok 'going for the kill' with O'Shea.
