Ó hÉithir was from Inis Mór. Football is played there now, on the three islands, but that would not have been the case in the 1940s. He was a great writer/journalist in both languages.

With all the talk about where the venue will take place… Think how lucky you are if living in Ireland to just be able to jump into your car or on bus to go and follow your county. No need for much pre planning or probably to even stay overnight in a hotel. Let alone book a flight, pay for a hotel and rent out a car. I am living in England and that is exactly what I will be doing for the quarter finals. I imagine the cost will be at least £500-600 by the time all is said and done. So before you moan about where the game is being played, perhaps think more positively about what you have on your doorstep. If you are a true hurling supporter you will be at the game no matter where it is being played… end of.

What you say is correct. However, that does not alter the fact that Galway are not offered any championship matches in their own county or province. If they were, it would benefit every Galway supporter including yourself and others who travel from abroad.

Some win tonight juniorjudge that should quieten the bandwagon hoppers who kicked Waterford when you were down on Monday and Tuesday.

Yeah very impressive second half especially, the two bennets played out of their skin. They will have to play like that again though as LK and TY have 2 quality squads also. The begrudgers will still ramble on though my friend, there is one lad in particular i just refuse to converse with on this now as he just continuously talks nonsense. If WD beat WX i can hear them already? Sure twas only WX KK will hammer ye bla bla yet there own county are of poor quality. Gas stuff!!

Obviously it's a complete waste of time responding to your inanities.
