Replying To PoolSturgeon:  "Very negative attitude to have. Were you happier last year when they were hammered by Cork or this year when they were hammered by Dublin? A win is a win and should always be celebrated and I am particularly pleased for the manager who has been subject to some awful abuse and unfair criticism"
With Wexford in recent times unfortunately the negatives have outweighed the positives. Yeah there has being unfair abuse and criticism of Liam Dunne there are a lot more issues with the state of Wexford hurling than Liam Dunne . The only positive I can take from this win is, it is a morale boost shot in the arm, despite the poor standard of hurling and hopefully they can raise their level of play accordingly.

The thing that I find that holds us back is that some many people inside the county constantly being negative about Wexford hurling. You would wonder why those young men put their lives on hold to play for the county such is the level is criticism that they get and even after a win people like yourself always looking for the negatives.

That's not what is holding us back, that is just a lazy excuse to explain away the problems with Wexford hurling.. Wexford hurling issues are systemic not cultural, we have deep roots in the game just like other hurling counties, You as much as I appreciate the commitment the players make and they know full well that going in at county level that they will be held to a much higher standard , unfortunately that's just how it is. I take enormous pride in my team and county , don't mistake my negative comment or criticisms as being begrudgery it is the opposite I am just not O.K with mediocrity, when I know we can do so much better, I am not a Yes man. I will be there in two weeks rooting for them and looking for signs of improvement. Unfortunately the standard of hurling on Saturday was very poor "it is what it is" a reality check, Hopefully a big morale boost for Wexford to help us move up a notch....

Wexford hurled a lot better than the other 3 teams on Saturday, you should get behind them and be positive about one of the youngest senior squads in the country in hurling or football still gaining experience and learning their trade. You're not a Wexford supporter, just another keyboard warrior seeking to snipe and induce negativity. I hope Wexford go on and improve as a squad, maybe you should do the same.

agree with that.i think murrax is probably gminor on the wexford board under another username....just a troll.
never before has such work gone into underage hurling in wexford.every club has put their shoulder to the wheel and while i think it will still take 5-10 years to get us right back up there, everybody is busting a gut to make that happen.
that was also obvious given the wide range of clubs on the starting XV on saturday,13 different clubs and all sorts of clubs from davidstown in junior to oulart!
i dont think we will get beyond the quarter final, but it is a lot better than last year!

Most of the "critics" are the same people who never take over an underage team, drop the kids at the gate for training sessions in case they would get roped in to staying.
I don't mind constructive criticism from certain supporters and people who actually do something constructive for club or county. But some people are just whinge merchants.
