I said this before and ill say it again....mcgrath and his waterford team have destroyed the game of hurling with their tactics in the last two years and are getting their just rewards today with their negative, boring pkay. Just go and play hurling man to man

In fairness pal, I was commenting on first 10 minutes of game. Thought it opened very well but yes as I later commented, I had spoken too soon and
it went downhill fairly quickly after that. Hugely disappointing for Waterford, I expected a lot from them today.

its just a shame to see talented forwards roaming around their oen half back line snd then getting substituted. surely waterfords best players would be better served under a more positive management team next year. tipp looking good money at this stage for at least an ai final and this is without bubbles. they'll take some beating

I'm stunned how this has panned out, last thing I expected today was a one sided game no matter what the result,Waterford looked punch drunk to me,there shell shocked their execution and decision making crumbled under pressure

Tipperary looking like genuine contenders for liam, can they break the Munster champions hoodoo in semi finals?I might sound mad to get beat like that playing so defensive might do Waterford a favour down the line, ofcourse you need to be solid defensively but playing a 1 man full forward line with a wind at your back isn't going to win you major honours

Delighted this happened. I know your not supposed to shout for your neighbours haha but ive a serious soft spot for that tipp team. mahers, mcgraths, callenan a joy to watch and long may their pure hurling hammer the BS systems of the likes of waterford and clare. Hopefully they'll be the saviours of hurling by continuing to prove those systems wont win anything, along with kk of course!

Where's the passion gone in hurling? Tipp for on fire and Waterford were hopeless, awful stuff to watch.

Shocked to my boots. Never expected anything like that.
The thing that stands out for me is how ruthless Tipp were, once they got on top they never slacked, they did what Kilkenny have done for years, they destroyed the opposition.
It's now shaping up to be the shoot out at OK Corral between Tipp & The Cats.
What now for Waterford, it will be very hard for them to regroup from this hammering, always had a soft spot for Waterford, after my home County they were my "other" team. Really gutted for them.

Holy moley that was embarrasing for Waterford.Congrats to Tipp on winning another Munster championship.

Waterford threw it away in the first half.Playing with the stiff breeze they failed to put enough bodies in the danger zone and never hit direct ball where they could have hurt Tipp.10 wides with most of them from very scoreable positions was the end of the game.Tipp went in at the break in a great position.

Waterford totally collapsed in the second half ; mentally and physically. It was as if their spirit was broken at ht.Tipp peppered the danger zone with long direct ball and reaped the rewards ; goals and lots of them.

Tipp are in a good position now.Plenty of places up for grabs with Bubbles to come back in.Backs are excellent and give away few goal chances.Great win for the blue & gold.

Waterford players I felt gave up, the tactics they employed were a disaster, a miserable day for those players. But Tipp were super probably needs to be measured against how bad Waterford were. I remember Mullane years ago apologising for a poor team performance this was worse.

I have to say, mocking is catching. Cork have been terrible this year and deserving of criticism. However some of the Waterford fans who revelled in the Cork demise yesterday, were fairly premature. The reality is, Tipp and Kilkenny can do that to any team on their day and continue to be a world ahead of the rest. Any talk of all Ireland contenders after a few league games is just wishful thinking. Back to reality lads. It takes time to build real contenders. Not just a system that everyone hates and two or three top class players. Cork know this only too well with our woeful, lacklustre performances.

Hard luck Waterford.

It's all the one anyway cos Kilkenny will be taking Liam McCarthy home in September.
