I switched back for the last 10 minutes after deciding to watch the golf after that horrific first half looks like I saw all the good football in the game.

Couldn't write it!! 9 points for Tyrone versus donegals 4 in second half. Donegal tried to play keep ball at every opportunity and I'm glad we won out trying to play a bit of open football. Fantastic points by Sean Cavanagh,Peter Harte(point of the year contender),and young Mc Geary. Wasn't pretty to watch for long spells but like I said one team tried to play football and they won. Thanks to Mickey Harte and the lads for a terrific never give up performance. !!!!

Tyrone very impressive when the fat was in the fire, they are the only side that can live with Dublins breathtaking speed and athleticism for 70 minutes.

Great second half, hard hits, great points, savage defending. In the balance up until the end. What more do you want in championship football?

Donegal v's Tyrone

Great the see the Tyrone fouling been punished with black cards. Until you start to punish these northern teams they won't stop it."
What tyrone fouling? There's hardly been a tackle all game."
There's been lots of tackles. Just manners been put on Tyrone by a well equipped team and experienced team like Donegal and a ref. That is not afraid to issue cards for cynical play. If Tyrone go on to win then fair play to them as they will have to win it within the rules and not by conning the ref."]Achieve jesus don't be a sore loser cusw tyrone best use. Are you seriously telling me either of those black cards were correct. There was a least 2 pull downs by Donegal players that no foul was given for"]Don't worry I'm well over the defeat and indeed yesterday's to Derry didn't deserve to win either in the end. However as with seanie_boy Tyrone supporters in the main see nor hear no evil when it comes to their team. Same with the Derry supporters yesterday the end will always justify the means. Northern teams brought in the cynical play and plenty of it went on yesterday by Derry which their fans were very happy to applaud. My point was if you take of your red tinted glasses was that it was great to see a ref issuing black cards which no doubt helped to cut out tyrones use of their usual tactic. All experts on radio and tv (don't watch the biast commentary on BBC) called them as black cards. No penalty to Tyrone as he dived when he got inside the box just like Canavan used to do and made a career out off.

Donegal had this game and lost their way. Tyrone were the victims of some abysmal decisions for the black cards and put in a tremendous defensive display in the second half. A draw would probably have been a fair result, but fortune favoured the braver side. Enjoyed the game...

Although if McShane's was for dissent he deserved it. Should've had a foul though, before that.

The refereeing has been dreadful today.

Fantastic second half performance from Tyrone. Sean Cavanagh was immense today and Peter Harte, Tiernan Mc Cann and Ruari Brennan also immense. Niall Morgan is Tyrone's best answer for long range frees.

We also seen how Tyrone should play against Donegal and any similar team which is with tempo and attack as in second half. Slow and surrendering the kickout as in first half suits Donegal.

Wouldn't be surprised to meet Donegal again so we should get ready.

Also anyone complaining about the standard of this game really should get real. This was as good as most sport gets. Defensive in parts. Fantastic scores in parts. Catching. Long range points. Close to the end.

Well done Tyrone best team won and thoroughly deserved. The 2nd half performance was full of guts and bottle so fair play. Credit to Donegal who played there part in an enthralling match. Donegal are in a good place but need further development to challenge this Tyrone team over the next few years. Need to come up with a game plan apart from the running at angles as we seen today it very much came up unstuck in the second half. The future is bright however 2 minor titles in 3 years. Niall O'Donnell really is a very exciting prospect. Needs to develop a bit physically but this lad can play.

Don't agree about Donegal needing to change much. They had control for most of the match but the players started taking the safe pass when one to a shooter was on. They failed to shoot from 7 or 8 possessions and eventually got turned over. Good defensive play by Tyrone, but hardly a reason for Donegal to go back to the drawing board... that'd be wishful thinking.

Disappointing result - Tyrone deserved to win and showed the fight and intent in second half

Not sure what went wrong with the game plan - looked in complete control in first half - off the shoulder runs gave us good chances - scored 7 plus 3/4 easy misses early in the half so like it or not the tactics were working

In the second half Tyrone ran at us with intent - pushed up on kick outs and won any that went long - plus got 2/3 points off the bench so their changes worked -
We still had plenty possession but no longer had ideas when we got to the 45 - couldn't find any space - no plan B - Murphy went inside must be 20 times and not one ball - nothing played to mcbrearty either

Thought the black card near the goal looked soft but thought Donegal lost three huge calls at the death - the hit on Mcglynn from which cavanagh scored and a foul in scoring distance in McFadden and earlier a push after a chip inside when we had our first sniff of goal - that aside Tyrone could have had a penalty with a ref that was more fussy

Well done Tyrone! My man Sludden was great and had an excellent game! The other McAliskey - as he does - disappeared!

Donegal are far better than this - they did the same against Kerry two years ago - with the players they have - McHughs - McNeilis etc they should/would beat any team - if only they attacked more! Maybe they have the wrong manager?

Indeed. Like I said a few days ago there was a lot of very confident and arrogant Donegal fans who had better remember how confident they were. Seem to have gone quiet now.

In the first half Donegal were shooting some wonderful scores from distance but in 2nd half they just seem to reach tyrone 45 line and then stop. Would have to question the tactics of that. Seemed more interested in getting a point or two up then holding out for the lead which was a suicide tactic. Not many teams will want to face Donegal in qualifiers tho.
