In this summer of shocks. Can Meath beat Dublin?

Nothing in sport is a foregone conclusion. If it was why bother.
Arguements for Meath to beat Dublin , are similar to the arguments put forward for Donegal after a poor showing throughout 2014 to beat a high flying Dublin. There is a few obvious differences between Donegal and Meath in what they had just won recently.
For Meath to have any chance they will need a very good game plan that the players stick to and like Donegal they will need goals.
Although im hoping this Dublin side is better than 2014.

Graham Reilly would've fit in well on the Dublin team under Caffrey.

Talented but flaky and ineffective when the heat comes on.

Maybe today is his day though.

Rotten day in the capital.Rain, rain and more rain. Not sure what effect this will have on the game,if any?Hopefully it clears up.I dont like these dark clouds looming large over the city.

I have a problem with a few of the lads on the team, one in particular, but no one knows it and I certainly won't harp on and on about him before playing dubs, and you know many many times what I have written about mod, bit before a huge championship match is not the time to start slagging him off.
So give the whining a miss until 8.30, who knows by then biggy could be motm and mod guaranteed another year.

Its up the player in question to change the record, until we see change in him,well...

Also Donegal had experience of winning the All-Ireland so they had the belief

Ziggy I agree Meath and Galway are on the same level based on league football although we have more potential if one was to factor in successful underage. Us beating Mayo was a surprise but not a shock. Meath beating Dublin would be a bigger surprise and would blow open the championship if it happened.

If Rooney can dominate midfield, Tobin and Harnan hav big games in the half back line. Burke holds his own at full back, and not get caught out. The key cud be Wallace, Reilly and Sullivan. If them three hav big games particular Reilly, its game on. I cud see Meath going into big lead, then Dublin peging them back. But the best thing Meath can do is try like 86 and 96 keep it a low scoring game. And stop Dublin scoring goals. It was always Sean Boylans motto. An interesting stat in Meath 10 victories v Dublin in the last 35 years , Dublin did not score one goal. The only time that Dublin beat Meath and scored no goal was in 2007 replay. If Meath stop Dublin scoring goals, there half way there."
Hey tonny did you put that in your history book :)

Well... Meath did stop us scoring goals...

.................................And still lost by 10 points.

Despite us taking the p*** for the last 20 minutes.

Harder training game on Tuesday night for the Dubs.
