I certainly don't want to us camp out and not have a go either royaldunne, I think it's just about being sensible and hard working because no matter what way we play Dublin will come at us in waves. This is why I think we need to get lads back in numbers when we don't have the ball, if Dublin run at us and we only have 6 or 7 lads back in defense then basically we're screwed. Fitness will be huge as well of course and it's an area that we've really struggled with since O'Dowd took over, if we're to get lads back and then counterattack for the whole game there needs to be a lot more in the tank. As you say goals will be important, we need to get a few and we need to score them first, this is why I'd have Wallace and McMahon playing off a big man in the FF line, both are well capable of finding the net. Of course we're going. Well done to the GAA on a great decision. Thankfully now GAA fans will be accommodated rather than being put out as I believe you wanted them to be. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13717 - 23/06/2016 12:30:17 1871135 Link 1 |

I'd say they'll be lucky to get 35,000 in Croke Park on Sunday now that the Ireland game is on same day. catch22 (USA) - Posts: 2148 - 23/06/2016 13:16:38 1871165 Link 0 |

To allow potential extra time in France be accommodated by pushing westmeath v kildare back a further few mins, but still guaranteed the same finish time either way? Yep pretty much agree with that. Once we get the chances we will get the goals. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 23/06/2016 14:09:07 1871194 Link 0 |

I see GAA are proposing screening the Ireland v France game in Croker - if true what a terrific idea. arock (Dublin) - Posts: 4897 - 23/06/2016 17:37:45 1871287 Link 0 |
I would be a great idea if they screened if in Croker. They would have a crowd in all day and would surely make a lot more money from food and drink sales too. Dubh_linn (Dublin) - Posts: 2312 - 23/06/2016 18:06:41 1871297 Link 0 |

5 past cluxton 5 past cluxton 5 past cluxton 5 past cluxton 5 past cluxton. Now that's FIVE. everyone sing, dodgy dodgy keeper. :) royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 23/06/2016 19:40:46 1871332 Link 0 |
They can't open the ground too early. gardai are working there and have to paid for certain time length. Stewards are volunteers and you have paid security and workers in the ground, it would mean they would all have to be in before the ground is allowed open and would mean the cost of opening the ground would increase significantly more. hill16no1man (Dublin) - Posts: 12665 - 23/06/2016 19:59:21 1871341 Link 0 |
Did you say 5!?! Wow what kind of keeper would let in 5? bert09 (Meath) - Posts: 1792 - 23/06/2016 20:10:49 1871343 Link 0 |
