Replying To Breffnisbest:  "I was just wondering why there is now 2 hours and twenty minutes between the start of the Kildare Westmeath match an the Dublin Meath match?
Any body know?"
RTE have to fit in the Nuacht and Weather.

Replying To royaldunne:  "True, I just dont want to see a camp out for 70 mins, just to keep score respectable, I want to see the lads having a cut, O'Sullivan, Reilly Wallace, Newman, tormey, Rooney McMahon are all capable of getting scores, defend when needed but don't invite them on constantly, sometimes you just have to go for it
we all know cluxton is dodgey at times, I actually think the forwards we have now are better than they were in 10, particularly for goal threats"
I certainly don't want to us camp out and not have a go either royaldunne, I think it's just about being sensible and hard working because no matter what way we play Dublin will come at us in waves. This is why I think we need to get lads back in numbers when we don't have the ball, if Dublin run at us and we only have 6 or 7 lads back in defense then basically we're screwed.

Fitness will be huge as well of course and it's an area that we've really struggled with since O'Dowd took over, if we're to get lads back and then counterattack for the whole game there needs to be a lot more in the tank.

As you say goals will be important, we need to get a few and we need to score them first, this is why I'd have Wallace and McMahon playing off a big man in the FF line, both are well capable of finding the net.

my tickets were collected tuesday
are you and your friends now going to croker because the times changed ????"
Of course we're going.

Well done to the GAA on a great decision.

Thankfully now GAA fans will be accommodated rather than being put out as I believe you wanted them to be.

Replying To royaldunne:  "Even sadder is that wasnt even a great Meath forward line that day, take out Reilly and bray and the rest wouldn't be that hot .
But sure they must have been excellent to pass the best ever (lmfao) FIVE TIMES."
What's that? 5 past Cluxton did I hear?

But you wouldn't have been going if they clashed
So doesn't that make you a soccer fan?

I'd say they'll be lucky to get 35,000 in Croke Park on Sunday now that the Ireland game is on same day.
Attendance figures will be well down and that goes for appearing in work on Monday morning too I'd say.

To allow potential extra time in France be accommodated by pushing westmeath v kildare back a further few mins, but still guaranteed the same finish time either way?

Yep pretty much agree with that.
Once we get the chances we will get the goals.

I see GAA are proposing screening the Ireland v France game in Croker - if true what a terrific idea.

I would be a great idea if they screened if in Croker. They would have a crowd in all day and would surely make a lot more money from food and drink sales too.
Fanzone in Smithfield already announced but I'd imagine a lot of supporters would head to Croker if it was on there.
Would show some initiative from GAA too.

17 points 17 points 17 points and to make Sunday even better Mickey Bourke is still playing and at full back now, I think we're looking at 6 past Paddy.

It's a bit silly only showing second half alright.
Most people will not bother heading in once the match starts. God only knows why they aren't showing it all as they were due to have a game on at 2 anyway.

They can't open the ground too early.
gardai are working there and have to paid for certain time length. Stewards are volunteers and you have paid security and workers in the ground, it would mean they would all have to be in before the ground is allowed open and would mean the cost of opening the ground would increase significantly more.
