Replying To gotmilk:  "It was a thank you not a celebration. Perhaps you don't understand what it's like for your summer to end in June every year. When you get a good summer where you can hold your head high you want to thank those that made it possible."
Exactly.I agree with this.Maybe if Croi and some of the other insulting posters were from one of the less successful counties they would understand where your coming from gotmilk.

Replying To bdbuddah:  "mods master plan ?, From what I know he has talked about having a team that are suited to playing in Croke park, all this means is having mobility in the team to suit a very big pitch like Croke Park. I certainly not expecting some completely revolutionary new way of playing Gaelic football on Sunday."
The players have been playing a system totally different from what we have been seeing in past two years on field, that's not a secret, what that style is though is.
I personally don't think it will work, and I fear there is no back up plan, they have been practicing this since early last year.

Replying To CroiGorm:  "The team celebrated like they'd won - Tomás Corrigan celebrating a late (nothing) goal with his arms spread in front of the hill is a perfect example of that.

There's nothing wrong in celebrating your teams performance but to try and say the fans and team weren't celebrating that result is a stretch.

Ps. I follow the Dublin hurlers so I'm (unfortunately) well used to seeing my team's season end in June."
I was there, I cheered every score, I thanked the players at the end for giving me a great summer. Btw you mean the dub hurlers that have played in a number of all Ireland semis recently and won Leinster??? You know what an early summer is alright.

Rd any chance you can tell me a story about Meath winning the all Ireland 20 years ago and why as a result of that Meath should be beating the dubs?

Please tell me where I insulted someone? I merely said they looked like they were celebrating and i stick by that. That's not an insult so less of the accusations thanks.

Replying To Htaem:  "royaldunne

It would be great to see MOD hatch a masterplan but I have to be honest royaldunne, I think what we're going to see from management is going to be more along the lines of Balderick and one of his 'cunning plans'. I have little faith in MOD but I really hope he proves me wrong, that and I hope the players do themselves proud and at least be able to look themselves in the mirror and say 'I gave it absolutely everything'."
Totally agree with this post. We need players to stand up on Sunday and probably to get a few brakes to be competitive.

So if Meath beat the greatest team in the history of the gaa on Sunday will it go down as the greatest win against all the odds in the history of the gaa?

That's pretty flippant and unnecessary gotmilk, our All-Irelands of the past are irreverent to this game and unless I'm mistaken you're the only one I've seen mention them here. Whether you or anybody else likes it or not we have a fixture to fulfil on Sunday so we might as well plan to win it as lose it.

By saying the Fermanagh players and fans celebrated losing like they won the All Ireland is an insult to me.If you dont think it is,thats fair enough.I remember a group of very drunk Fermanagh lads on the hill who were a little over excited at times with drink playing a large part no doubt. The RTE cameras kept zooming in on them after a lot of Fermanaghs scores. They could hardly stand up.I would like to think the more sober and level minded Fermanagh supporter in attendance wasn't trying to break on to the field post game to carry their heroes off the pitch. After all, thats what supporters do when winning an All Ireland?

We'll need all the luck we can get, speaking of which, is Martin Sludden available for Sunday? ;-)

It's an opinion not an insult. In my opinion they looked like they were celebrating the result. Certainly the players were. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. whether others agree with it is a whole other story and if they don't (just like you) they are also entitled to that opinion.

MOD's masterplan :D :D :D :D

Cant wait to see it tore asunder.

Masterplan me hole.

Losing by 16 points to us in 2014. Throwing away a ten point lead last year to WM

It was all just part of the plan to compete and beat with Dublin in 2016.

Ye....We will see.

Honestly Bert I'd love a game up in Derry City, now I never want to lose to Meath but a trip up to Derry for the loser sounds great to me. I'm still buzzing after the Kilkenny trip.

clondalkdub

I love the way some Dub folk live in Meath, say they love it out here would never go etc,but then have a serious attitude towards Meath. While all their kids are actually from Meath!

He is a closet Meath man. He wishes he was born in Meath.

It's okay Wayne to "come out". We'll all still love you for who you are.

I don't hate Meath.

I know I said before that I do but hate is a strong word. I was wrong and went over-board.

If Meath manage to beat Dublin i'll be the first on here to wish them luck going forward.

I just love beating them.

Doesn't matter how far we rise and however low they fall, I will always enjoy beating them.

Its a rivalry. But it starts and ends with football.

I have no issue with Meath people, A lot of my friends are Meath people.

The county itself is a lovely county.

But on sunday friends become enemies for 70 minutes. If we win ill enjoy winding them up. If they win I'm sure they will enjoy winding me up. That's the way it is.

But they wont win :)
