Suggesting him is the classic nostalgia of "the good old days".

Sheehan is a great free take but if he played for Tyrone, Armagh or Donegal the media would be slaughtering him for his antics. Winds up the opposition, gets involved in a lot of off the ball stuff and throws a few dirty hits in as well but sure........"Tis Kerry.....and they are God's Golden Ones". Anthony Tohill could hit a good free. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9706 - 16/06/2016 16:35:59 1867756 Link 0 |

Great great player, average free-taker. Ronan Carolan was a better free taker and I wouldn't even suggest him for this. Breffni40 (Cavan) - Posts: 12120 - 16/06/2016 18:05:42 1867813 Link 0 |
Not the best of all time, not even the best currently playing. If I remember correctly, Cillian O'Connor is, statistically speaking, the best free taker in the country right now. Ridiculous accuracy. ZeitChrist (UK) - Posts: 154 - 16/06/2016 18:11:14 1867817 Link 0 |
Trevor Giles is my favorite player of all time.But he was only a decent free-taker. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 16/06/2016 19:08:48 1867834 Link 0 |
Sadly he is not.. He missed a free from inside the 21 metre line against Louth, and two others you would expect a good free-taker to get.. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 16/06/2016 19:09:49 1867835 Link 0 |

Connors, Stafford and Corkery. Almost guaranteed a score when they stepped up. Cully (Laois) - Posts: 375 - 17/06/2016 08:35:49 1867996 Link 0 |
your all naming lads who stick over 45s and close in stuff...Keith Barr that's the man you want driving frees over from 60-70 no bother to him!! Brianmac78 (Dublin) - Posts: 1168 - 17/06/2016 13:33:44 1868164 Link 0 |

Yeh, from 13 meters he is, his little bro is a far better footballer! Cillian is the better of the two at frees obviously!

Larry tompkins colin corkery and mj tierney for me. Corkery the king though as could take them from ground with either foot. Remember a munster final draw v tipp where he scored a peach off ground with weaker left foot Malonemagic (Laois) - Posts: 767 - 17/06/2016 15:25:00 1868221 Link 0 |
aint that the truth!!!!!!!!!! Should have been retaken! Unbelievable referring from the Hopper Howard! aarrgghhh!! (keith in his defence said after he never knew Mick was beside him. I was behind the goal and we thought it had gone in! we were jumping like lunatics. Had he taken his point, we would have won I am sure I repeat....aarrggghhh!)
