Bryan Sheehan. The greatest free taker of all time?

Replying To Breffni39:  "If Trevor Giles is the greatest free-taker of all time, standards are seriously low."
Suggesting him is the classic nostalgia of "the good old days".

Anyone saying Giles is literally off their head!!
Savage footballer, pure class
as a free taker he was bang average. Missed some very kickable ones
Dara O'Cinneide likewise

Maurice Sheridan of Mayo was a great free taker
Barney Rock and Charlie Redmond of Dublin
Muiris Gavin of Limerick
Brian Stafford of Meath and Enda Gormley of Derry were great men to take a free also
Colin Corkerey was the most natural free taker I ever saw

Sheehan has a lovely way of taking a free, very like Corkerey
Is the the best of them all?
I wouldnt have swapped Jimmy K for any of em personally

Sheehan is a great free take but if he played for Tyrone, Armagh or Donegal the media would be slaughtering him for his antics. Winds up the opposition, gets involved in a lot of off the ball stuff and throws a few dirty hits in as well but sure........"Tis Kerry.....and they are God's Golden Ones". Anthony Tohill could hit a good free.

Great great player, average free-taker.

Ronan Carolan was a better free taker and I wouldn't even suggest him for this.

Not the best of all time, not even the best currently playing. If I remember correctly, Cillian O'Connor is, statistically speaking, the best free taker in the country right now. Ridiculous accuracy.

Trevor Giles is my favorite player of all time. But he was only a decent free-taker.

Sadly he is not..

He missed a free from inside the 21 metre line against Louth, and two others you would expect a good free-taker to get..

Connors, Stafford and Corkery. Almost guaranteed a score when they stepped up.

Yeh, from 13 meters he is, his little bro is a far better footballer! Cillian is the better of the two at frees obviously!

Larry tompkins colin corkery and mj tierney for me. Corkery the king though as could take them from ground with either foot. Remember a munster final draw v tipp where he scored a peach off ground with weaker left foot

Unbelievable referring from the Hopper Howard!
