2016 Meath hurlers awarded a cup they didn't win only to be asked to hand it back, they don't want to give it back, don't want to replay a drawn game.... to be cont'd....

The Dublin V Galway football final in early 80's when Dubs went down to 12 men.
Clare robbed in '98 against Offaly in the hurling semi final when they were 3 pts up.
Kerry pounding some teams into submission like Mayo, Cork, Armagh in the last 10 years.
Pat Spillane's notorious comments when Kerry lost to Tyrone about "puke ball"
Galway losing the hurling final in 2001 to Tipperary due in part to a blatantly biased Referee
RTE's The Sunday Game and a lot of the media highlighting only the negatives in GAA matches

Clare winning the hurling in 95 sent my spine tingling. Was great viewing at the time.
Armagh and Tyrone winning their first all Ireland s were nice moments too.
Antrim beating Offaly in 89 and the faithful lads clapped em off.

The "wet ball" of '71!

Was told that story every time I travelled to a Limerick game for about a decade.

He is famous for his goal in 1982, denying Kerry 5 in a row. Very ordinary man, met him in O'Connor Park last Sunday.
Offaly hurlers beating Kilkenny in 1980 to win our first Leinster Senior hurling title. Radio Éireann as it was then broadcast the Connacht Football Final, as they thought Kilkenny would win handily, how wrong they were.
Another great day was Clare's1992 Mumster football title win vKerry. Not a cow milked in Cooraclare said Marty Morrissey, look where he went afterwards.

oh I see admin saw fit to remove the player's name from my post. This is the kind of censure which is totally inexplicable when the name was all over the papers at the time. the game was shown live on television , the player got a red card AND it was discussed on HS at the time.

The big Mayo fella running onto the field in the game against Kerry, took 5 stewarts to get the angry fella off., 2014 semi final replay.
He was heading for the nearest Kerry man for a bit of bare knuckle loving.

Tom Brewster putting the ball over the bar in 2004 against All Ireland favourites Armagh. Christ what a day!!!! Best thing about that run is we beat a side who had won at least one all Ireland in the previous 15 years and every side had played in at least an All Ireland semi final in the three years previous. Meath, Cork, Donegal and Armagh all fell victim to Fantastic Fermanagh.

What a summer and that kick was the pinnacle of it.

Good man murrax some serious anti Meath sentiments accross a number of threads in recent days.Meath scored a point that wasnt given and wasnt referred to Hawkeye so they actually won the game as one point negates the other..How come all the "C"s didnt investigate this as surely both mistakes are of equal imortance?????
