Haha,to be fair i agree with this.At least they should mostly be put on our own Dublin page.I think we've nearly seen all 15 Dublin players have their own appreciation thread on the main page by now.I'm half expecting to see a thread about the skill and importance of the Dublin team bus driver, the speed of the water carrier and the soft hands and dexterity of the lad that gives out the oranges at half-time.

indeed Cue. I'm a huge admirer of many Dublin players but as far as discussion goes it gets a bit tiresome when these individual praise threads pop up. this is the second one about Connolly in two days, how much can we really say about the man after acknowledging he's a fine player SaffronDon (Antrim) - Posts: 2386 - 06/06/2016 22:02:44 1862521 Link 0 |
I think if an appreciations thread is started about a player by a person from the same county as the player it should be moved to that counties home page by Admin, free up the main page for hopefully discussions about the actual games. Connolly, for me, has been the one footballer I would travel to see for the past number of years. He has grown from a talented, petulant player to someone with a Keane-esque desire to win - with the talent to boot. Top quality, without a doubt. I agree. He was awesome that night and to be fair I dont think Tyrone were even thinking about him before the match. By the way that was some game, i think it was 22-15 to dublin but some of the scores (on both sides) were absolutely breathtaking.
