Westmeath vs Carlow Leinster U21 final. Would love to see it!

PoolSturgeon (Galway) - 26/05/2016 17:58:28

Cant happen as they play eachother in the Semi Final. Its great that either one of them will be in a Leinster Final. Unfortunately, if Dublin manage to get over Wexford I will not be cheering either on of course. Dublin I feel have a very strong team this year, with lots of players from the team involved with the senior set-up. I expect Dublin to win Leinster but who knows.

You had to get promted by a Dub but you left out one thing disgusting what happened at the end of the match

Disappointed for Westmeath with the 2-17 to 1-14 loss to Dublin last night, was this expected,? Did the home venue suit Dublin,? Perhaps Westmeath were still celebrating the win over KK, or is Dublin simply a class apart.??

had Dublin -6! Maybe a bit greedy!
Hopefully Westmeath push on now from this and take it as a positive. Getting within 6 points of Dublin is good going.
KK have really struggled at U21 couple of years. The basically skills are really lacking for county famed for it

Replying To janesboro:  "nine of the Kilkenny team that won the All-Ireland MHC started against Westmeath last night, while another three who started in the win over Limerick in 2014 came on. Was at that final and kilkenny were very good. About 8 of that limerick team won under 21s all ireland last year . just goes to show it was not due to a poor kilkenny team"
No indeed that was Not a poor Kilkenny team by any standards, just trying to get my head around those two Westmeath results, to me the Dublin win last night was as much of a shock as the Westmeath win against Kilkenny meant to some people.

Ouch.I'd say that was a sore one.

The goals were the killer for Westmeath. The first one looked like the Dublin defender (O'Donnell?) picked the ball straight off the ground. They missed two scoreable frees & hit the post twice from play. It's such a pity after beating Kilkenny that they had to face the winners of Dublin V Wexford in the semi.

Seriously? Dublin ,who beat 3 in a row Leinster champions Wexford, beating Westmeath is more of a shock than Westmeath beating Kilkenny

It was great for WEstmeath to beat KK but lads in fairness anyone that has seen KK play U21 the last 2 years will say it was a very poor team by their standards.

With respect, that 3 in a row Wexford team bared little resemblance to the Wexford team that Dublin beat last night, I thought after shipping a 0-16 defeat to limerick in last years all Ireland final they had a lot of team building to do.
