Tyrone are the only team that can beat Dublin

RD not sure what you have been watching in the league-agree with Roger. Tyrone beat a very poor Derry team which appeared clueless. Tyrone as with all Ulster teams have difficulty beating Connaught teams in the championship. Tyrone may not win Ulster but the are probably the team with the best chance of beating Dublin in the wide spaces of CP and I would not wager against them. Kerry were very lucky last year to beat them with dubious ref decisions. Dublin are worthy favourites.

We won't know how good Tyrone are until they take out one of the big gun's in Croke Park. Kerry and Mayo are still the ones behind Dublin. Tyrone do seem to be moving again in the right direction though....they won the u-21 last year and have a great setup in the county so it's only a matter of time before they come again.

It is interesting to see how the narrative of who the best teams are swings back and over.

First it was Kerry and Dublin out in front with mayo, tyrone and donegal behind.
Then tyrone jump mayo after dominating division 2.
Then Kerry lose the league final and are dumped down to 4th and somehow mayo are deemed the only team capable of beating Dublin - without actually playing a game themselves. In the meantime donegal have been written off.
Finally tyrone get a win in their first game and they are now the team capable of beating Dublin - not mayo any longer and, again, without actually playing a game themselves.

The reality of it is if we want to get an accurate reading on teams we need to stop defining them on whether they can beat Dublin or not. Dublin could turn around and have a stinker of a season.

After Tyrones peformence yesterday they seem to be he only team in Ireland that are able to beat Dublin they play amazing blanket defence which are words you will never think anybody will say because it is so boring, but they play very fast and exiciting in defence. And in attacking play it was lovely to watch there speed and movement is brilliant. they have a lot of star players. If its not Tyrone its either Mayo or Galway but Tyrone are far far better team . Kerry are no longer contenders ,

Tyrone were very good but Derry were septic. Ye couldn't have made it easier for them.
5th time they won that meeting this year and Derry did nothing to try and alter the result.
It's not clear where Tyrone are yet, but early signs are for a long summer up there.
As for Kerry, I don't think we are as far off Dublin as people think. Shot of lads to come back and our fitness levels will be much higher than the league final. No point in peaking in April.

Unless Cavan/Armagh can upset Tyrone with a couple of ambush type goals then I don't see how either can beat them. Tyrone will be in the Ulster final and for me, their first real test of the year will be in dealing with what team they encounter. If they can land Ulster it would be a major boost to them and I can see them making the AI semi final at least. The popular consensus is that they'd meet Mayo in such a scenario. I think they're a bit off Mayo just yet. Mayo have a very good record against Tyrone and I'd fancy them to beat them again in a very tight battle.

Given that it's so early in the year and that Derry were a defensive shambles I think that's a seriously misguided statement

Cork never beat Kerry when it matters. 99 was last time Cork beat Kerry in a knockout game.

Tyrone are a very good side

Monaghan are the only team that might stop them in Ulster

Although going through the back door might actually suit Tyrone better.

Indeed a very good team and MH and co have obviously done some Trojan work

They have a great mix of experience and youthful U21 All Ireland winners

If Tyrone go through as Ulster Champions and setup a more than likely match up with Mayo..

That has the makings of one hell of a contest and I'd actually fancy Tyrone in that one...

Forgot to add in my post that I would never write Kerry off either. Thought though that they side-line did not help them much last year and I would pay little attention to the league result. Mayo of course are capable of beating anyone on their day judging by last year but not sure what they new management will bring to the table this year.

Think I'm right in saying that in all of Mickey Harte's tenure Tyrone have only managed to beat Donegal once in Championship football so if we do make it to an Ulster final against the Redhands they'll get nothing easy from us.

Note to everyone : Tyrone have played no top side in 2016 ( league or champo )

Why the hype ?

Imagine Kerry, Mayo or even ourselves were in D2 this year : I'd would reckon all three would easily come through . It was not of a very high standard .

Tyrone are not as good as some say IMO.

I don't think we will win the All- Ireland but I'd have ZERO fear of playing Tyrone . In fact I'd put my neck out and say we would beat them by 3-4 points .

Mayo , Kerry and ouselves are ahead of Tyrone .

The red hand have had some awesome sides down the years - I don't think this is one of them . Okay they're young but calm down people.
