Lee Chin was fit to play Saturday night. The fact that he didn't is a scandal. The lies being told by a large number of people to cover up this fact is a bigger scandal. I wouldn't agree with you about that! ... Dunne was asked to stay on ,, nobody wanted the Wexford job 3 years ago There isn't a big scramble of guys out there tripping over one another to take the Wexford job.. One can't blame Dunne for the state of Wexford Hurling. you said clubs all objected to Dunne ,, Who did they put forward for manager? could he do any better? Dunne can only work with the players he has available. The underage structures were neglected for years and there was a state of apathy for years in the county to. The club senior championship is mediocre at best. Some of the club matches is like looking at paint dry. There's to many lads at club level that don't bother practicing the skills of the game to try and improve themselves or take their hurling seriously enough. It doesn't matter who they bring in as county manager. Wexford are where they are for the foreseeable future until the underage players start coming through. Wexford have to build a senior team from scratch with the young lads they have at the moment. There's hope the future though .. Wexford have 3 teams competing in the All Ireland ''' A ''' colleges competition with the likes of St Kieran's of Kilkenny. The county minors are in this years Leinster minor hurling final. progress is slow but steadily moving forward in the right direction. To much negative talk in Wexford lads whinging all the time and no one offers any solutions or wants to do any work in their local club coaching kids the skills of hurling ,, Only lets sack the manager! ,, let's blame Dunne for everything. You think he '' lacks fire ''' on the side line? should he break hurls off dressing room table 1950's style at half-time? should he jump up and down like mad man screaming at the Referee? or head butt the linesman? They sack managers in English soccer put the managers are getting paid 10 million a year. The Man is working for free he volunteers his time trying to get wexford hurling back to the top. Do you want the Wexford job ( perfect 10 ) would you be able for the stress? How's the blood pressure?
