Eugene McGee yearns for a land of milk and honey Dublin/Kerry utopia EVERY year and seems to really resent the participation of Ulster teams. He has been one of the main driving forces for rule changes abd taking the physicality out of games because he viewed it as an Ulster advantage. I have never heard him say anything positive or in praise of an Ulster side.

He actually managed Cavan for a few years. I don't think he is anti-Ulster at all. And I don't think he wants a Dublin/kerry Utopia. Didn't he manage Ofally to an All-ireland title himself. He is a proud supporter of Longford football and always has been.

I wouldn't be a great fan of ex-players or current players writing in papers. Mostly it's not very good journalistically. why not let the professionals do their job. Also there are too many ex-kerry players in the media in general. Who was the panelist on the hurling last week. I think he was from Cork. Really enjoyed him.
