Some very interesting opinions being expressed here.
So far Dublin look as if they will retain Sam. But it will be interesting , as one Dub poster mentioned to see how they cope without the two players who have gone abroad ( o Carroll and McCafferty)
Now they might not miss them at all and if they do it will probably be around the QFinal Sfinal stage.
What I would think about all this is ------ the teams they beat in the league will IMO be a lot fitter as will Dublin so I expect the likes of Mayo Tyrone Kerry and even Donegal to be well able to give Dublin a serious game Whether any one of them can beat Dublin is another thing
The bottom line is Dublin have more to loose than any of the rest of them and if Dublin have to meet any of the aforementioned counties in the Q final / S final or final THERE iS a possibility they will get beat
But I definitely would not agree with the Galway poster about 4or5 in a row --- that won't happen
Don't forget BB DC and a few more have played a lot of football and will have to be replaced. To me it will be hard to replace BB and he was areal matchwinner for Dublin on many occasions
Plus the fact some other county is sure to come along in the next couple years
So all in all Dublin are well placed to do two in a row and probably will

Kerry will improve a lot come the Summer; debatable whether they can actually beat Dublin if both teams play up to their potential, but it'll certainly be a lot tougher and closer than last weekend. Unfortunately for the rest, Dublin no longer blow hot and cold in games like they did the last decade. As for Tyrone, in the somewhat unlikely event they get that far, they can in theory put up a spirited show against Dublin, but ultimately this Tyrone team is slightly worse than Kerry; that's their measure. Coasting through Div II in a league is hardly a proper test of anything. Down player Danny Hughes writing in yesterday's Irish News, in relation to Tyrone and Donegal, reckoned that, "being honest, the Dubs would eat either of them alive". And that's about the height of it. I hope Tyrone make a serious play for Ulster this year; they need that to bring their young boys on before they can really tangle with the big boys.

The only team that will beat Dublin and stop them will be Dublin themselves in my opinion.

They beat Kerry last Sunday and still had another 2 gears to go. Yes Kerry will improve but so will Dublin. They have lost 2 cracking footballers but also had the likes of O gara and Mannion returning. Their bench is scarily good when required. They can tune their preparation now to peak in mid august safe in the knowledge they wont be caught in Leinster.

Two in a row isnt even the question, three or maybe 4. Four in a row and they can match the achievements of my username!

2 in a row? Absolutely, it really is a case of who gets to play against them in final. Id be more concerned about what counties are doing to stop them getting 3/4/5 in a row, ? I can see Kerry doing a bit of their cuteness and getting beat by cork in Munster to avoid playing dubs in semis , and of course the final will be billed as this that and other , but in reality Kerry playing at 100% and Dublin playing @ 10% would still mean a dubs win, only thing that can stop dubs winning it is dubs themselves. Who knows maybe they will do a 14 on it again but Gavin knows that this year it should be 4 in row, and I cant see that complacency creep in again, unfortunately.

Royal Dunne - that's the type of post that makes no one take you seriously.

Dublin playing at 10% would beat Kerry at 100% - lol .

Rigtstuff. Its the blinkers on you that cant see these facts that make your posts delusional (and that's been kind) Dublin are head and shoulders above Kerry, if you need prove of this read what O'se wrote in paper. He actually think the same, I'm afraid its the likes of you who thinks that Donegal were better than dubs in 14 that stops counties actually focusing on what needs to be done,

I think Dublin are the best side in Ireland but you are claiming they are 10 times better than Kerry. Seriously stop this nonsense,

They are not 10 times better than Kerry or indeed Mayo. How can you measure that ?

I did not even mention 2014 in my post - not once so again what are you on about ?

We beat Dublin well that day and nobody has brought that up -we deserved it as we were a really good side. Yes Dublin had goal chances but sure that is in every game . They met a battle hardened side that had one it in 2012 so I was not as shocked as some people.

I think Dublin are the best side in Ireland but to suggest they are miles and miles ahead of Mayo and Kerry is not accurate.

They best Kerry by three last year and Mayo could have beaten them also .

For what its worth , I think Dublin will probably win it outright but they will get some close contents late on ie Kerry , Mayo .

If only it was that simple. We won the 2011 final with a point in added time,we won the 2013 final by a single point after beating Kerry in an epic semi-final.We won last years final by three points, after beating Mayo in a replay in the semi-final.Plenty of close calls in our three All Ire wins.We have a good chance this year, but no doubt a few teams can beat us on the day.Nonsense to say its only a formality : i doubt the Dublin players believe that rubbish.
