Have ye seen the letter that 3 Wicklow county minor hurlers sent to their local paper complaining about their treatment?

He was making a point if you were educated enough you would see where he is coming from.

Is there only one pitch they can train on? To me the gripe should be with the management, not the cb. Did wicklow not win u21b championship recently?

There are about 300 pitches in Cork, yet our senior hurlers had no pitch to play...

gotmilk,

"Is there only one pitch they can train on? To me the gripe should be with the management, not the cb. Did wicklow not win u21b championship recently?"

When was management appointed? There are no underage managements "appointed" in Longford (or Fermanagh, I'm sure) for hurling squads. If you're lucky someone will take it on eventually. Football managements will be in place from the previous October.

Apparently, the GAA decided to get rid of the All-Ireland minor hurling competitions at 'B' & 'C' level. There must have been opposition to this move in some quarters so the 'B' competition has been reinstated but no 'C'. That means there is no county minor hurling this year for Longford, Louth, Mayo, Leitrim & Sligo while Ulster has some sort of a league at the moment for Cavan, Monaghan & Tyrone (Fermanagh not fielding). That's 8 or 9 counties with less chance to play county hurling at the stroke of a pen!

His post is even more laughable after their result in the minor football over the weekend. Pot, Kettle, Black springs to mind.

I didn't realise that keeper. That's a bit of a joke that there is no competition in place for weaker counties at underage level.
