Hard to argue with much of that Kingdomboy but I thing the Rossies were maybe a bit overawed by facing Kerry in Croker. Match played at pretty much challenge game pace. Not a tough enough game for Kerry but on the otherhand it didn't take too much out of them. Hardly a foul in the match worthy of the name but still referee Hughes managed to blow for countless offences most of which took place in his mind only. About time refs tried to stay out of the limelight a bit more. Hoping the ref in the Dublin/Donegal game coming up is less of a drama queen and lets the game flow.

It's hard to get excited by these games. Sure the league as always is simply championship preparation. It's always good I suppose to get a run out in Croke Park. Thank God these semi-finals are being scrapped next year. They are a complete waste of time. Experiment tried. Experiment over.

Reality bites for the Rossies! Will someone start a thread now saying 'Congrats kerry? I think not. There has been almost a desperation in the media to 'big up'' Roscommon that I would find embarrassing if i was a Rossie.Even today on RTE I heard Tom Carr say 'Roscommon are better than people think they are and Kerry are not as good as they think they are' before a ball was kicked.
At half time he had changed his tune and was saying "Roscommon are out of their depth'.
From what I've seen today and in the Mayo match they have a long way to go .

Deegan giving Dublin some shocking soft frees which have taken them away on the scorecard. Donegal kicking away possession and getting turned over too easy.

I saw one free awarded to Mannion that was a fair tackle by McGee.Another one was correctly awarded to Dublin as Donegal defender touched the ball on the ground.

You're joking Ulsterman, soft frees keeping Donegal in the game right now!

Roscommon out-muscled both today and against Mayo (who will undoubtedly be a different beast again come championship). Not anywhere near big enough in midfield and physicality is not up to scratch yet. Roscommon did well this league but it was only going to get tougher for them as soon as other teams caught up with their fitness levels and got more work put in.

Hard to judge much about Kerry given how poor Roscommon were.

Why was John Small not black carded there? Pulled jersey and shorts when mchugh going through on goal! Baffling from Deegan

Dublins defence is something else, tackling is brilliant!

This beating will do no good for Donegals confidence if we happen to meet later in year.I'm not sure they believe they can beat this Dublin team after watching our last two meetings.Dublin are far too strong.

you'd kill for a bit of intensity in one of these games!

Not baffling at all...player needs to go to ground for it to be black.

Kerrykillers

I agree, they work harder than any other team and I have been very impressed with their tackling.

Things not looking good from a donegal point of view. Expectations well adjusted for the year at this stage.

Go to ground or brought to ground? Say if Mchugh took a knee after the pull would that account for a black? Genuine question here..

Agree Saffron Don. Awful games. As legendsx says, we won't be watching them next year. Seemed to be zero atmosphere there. I hope we get a good final at least.
