Condorman,i think your right on that.It was the 2001 semi final when Galway lost a man in first half but bullied Kilkenny for the remainder of the game; Eugene Cloonan was excellent.Cody went away that day and promised himself a Kilkenny team under his tutelage would never be bullied again.

I was only getting into hurling and had heard about this guy coming out of minor called Joe Canning , he took a ball in the air on the hurl with 3 men hanging around his neck didn't put it to hand he over his shoulder fired it into the top corner , man that was something , joes reverse hand pass that had half a stand looking in the wrong direction ,
Mulligans dummies hate saying it but amazing ,
Gooch couple of years back giving one of my favourite a hiding mesmerising
From back in the day , the one that got away Kevin Moran the guy had it all a Rolls Royce that would be awesome if he were around in his prime in the modern game

I've yet to see anyone do this quite as well as Eoin Quigley, if he's remembered for nothing else at least he'll be remembered for this.

D Connolly point in the final round of the league in '14 against Tyrone surrounded by Tyrone players bends it over with the outside of his right foot from outside the 45 to send Dublin into semi finals.

Sometimes we forget what "class" really means !!

I've met the man, and he is absolutely a pure gentleman, on and off the park

From a Donegal point of view we're blessed to see Cruyff like moments from Murphy in almost every other game.

- the thunderbolt against Mayo in 2012
- the sideline point against Derry in 2014
- a goal against Queens (I think) in a McKenna Cup a few years ago where he shot from about 30 yards to the top corner and very nearly took the net off.

Those are just some I remember off the top of my head.

Cassidy's winner against Kildare was a great score too.

Jimmy Barry Murphy's goal was so quick the camera could barely puck it up. Michael O'Hehir called it one of the greatest goals of all time just after it was scored.

You mean Mugsy's great goal where he fouled (showed) the ball twice :D

Connolly's goal V Castlebar

KerryKillers (Dublin) - Posts:264 - 25/03/2016 21:57:18 1837694

KerryKillers I taught that he fouled to, but I researched it and watched the video over and over. He dose show the ball but he places the in to the other hand. He didn't throw the ball in to the opposite hand, therefore perfectly legal.

Maurice fitz point from the sideline against Dublin with some kind words of advice from Tommy Carr while taken it :0)

I would like to nominate my Paul Mc Grath moments in GAA like Mc Grath's performance against Italy at the World Cup in 1994. Mick Lyons block against Cork in the All Ireland final in 1987, Conor Gormleys block against Armagh in the All Ireland final in 2003 and last but not least Paddy Keenan's heroic block against Meath in the Leinster final in 2010.
