Horrendous isn't the word.

I think we should be talking more about New York here and their amazing effort, to have zero preprration in terms of competitive games and to play as well as that against a team that pretty much blazed a trail in Division 1 of the league is some achievement, fair play NY you were exceptionally close to creating the shock of the year, the decade and many other decades too. Keep up the efforts lads your day will come

It just shows you cannot always trust the league.Rossies were fitter than most they admitted themselves..

Remember Derry getting to a dv1 league final only to have a short summer and go out to Longford.

But yeah fair play to New York

Great effort from New York. If ever there was an advert for their inclusion that was it. Can anyone verify that Rowcommon got a very soft penalty? Mayo man Brian Gallagher at midfield apparently tore through Roscommon at will yesterday. Roscommon have a lot of work to do by the looks of things.

Connacht title staying in Mayo. All talk about how competitive it might be this year looks a bit far fetched now to be honest.

Roscommon looked very poor against Kerry and if they can only get outta the Bronx by the skin of their teeth then Mayo will have little trouble with them imo.

Obviously a great effort by NY, but not a game to read anything more into. A blip for the Rossies, and a useful lesson.

I had a good luck at penalty and would have to say it was the softest given in Gaelic Park for decades but Deegan was quick to give it and he is a good ref. History was made by the NY lads in that for the first time people believe they belong in the Connacht C'ship. and they finished very strongly. They would do really well in Leinster at the present also. Thank you to all in the NY set up for this huge effort.

I don't know why people are surprised at New York, sure haven't they a huge population, play all their games at home...........

The Bronx is one tough place. That GAA pitch even looks a tad intimidating.Fair play to New York in mixing it with a good team. They gave Galway their fill of it few years back.Close shave for the Rossies, but job done.I give them a fair chance of winning Connacht.I'm not as convinced about Mayo retaining their title as others on here.

You get nothing easy in the Bronx.Reminds me a bit of Naomh Fionnbarra in Cabra. You gotta be on your wits all day (:

cuederocket....the 'Bars are just mis-understood :)

Even when they are shyte they are never easy to beat. Some club though, kept the hurling flag flying in an area that is (or should be) a desert for the GAA.

I think i understand them pretty well witnof.Park well away from the ground to have a decent chance of having all windows intact post game.I'm always on edge until i'm looking in the rear view mirror, half way up the Navan Road.Come to think of it,i'd rather take my chances in the South Bronx(:

Haha cue, Ronnie not at the races this year.
Very sobering result for the Rossies, no harm they're back to earth heading into the Connacht championship.
