The GAA isnt a charity so it shouldn't be doing anything to help anyone apart from it's own members. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 5012 - 04/02/2016 19:23:34 1822370 Link 0 |
probably between Croker and the RDS to host him, why not take the money when it's going. mhunicean_abu (Monaghan) - Posts: 1044 - 04/02/2016 19:46:51 1822381 Link 0 |
I thought Nolan Park was now the alternative venue, to be used if Croker not suitable or not available. I see the ground in Navan has drawn some comment in recent posts and that should have been enough to encourage the Leinster Council to bring the football q/f there. neverright (Roscommon) - Posts: 1648 - 04/02/2016 19:54:58 1822386 Link 0 |
So now we have the knock on effect of this concert hitting club players as the scheduled round of club championship fixtures for football in Dublin to be played may 15 has now to be postponed as owing to players involved in the hurling panel the bylaw states. Despite representations made by the Dublin ccc to comghairle laighean with proposed dates to solve this crisis it was met with deaf ears. Because of the packed inter county schedule club players must now wait as its not able to reschedule. Bruce who? hill16no1man (Dublin) - Posts: 12665 - 10/02/2016 20:29:35 1824554 Link 0 |

In fairness hill, it is a small price to pay to get everything at home. TheMaster (Mayo) - Posts: 16187 - 11/02/2016 10:10:17 1824601 Link 0 |

It looks like the "You guys get to play everything at home" argument will continue until all fixtures are played in a venue where the local county team never have any chance of winning anything. Jaden (Dublin) - Posts: 139 - 11/02/2016 11:02:03 1824619 Link 0 |
Maybe he means Dublin club players like Dublin county players are at an advantage by where they are not having to travel hours home during the week and at weekend's for training/matches. That of course is not Dublin GAA's fault but more economic issues. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11232 - 11/02/2016 12:57:34 1824673 Link 0 |
yew_tree, no I mean having the national stadium on your doorstep has a lot of advantages. If this minor club rescheduling issue is the cost of having all those things there, then there is little to be complaining about. There are only so many weekends in the year, I mean do people expect everything to be done to suit them to the point of perfection?
