Great performance from Mayo today. Going to Clones and getting the victory is not easy. I get the sense we're up and running now! Come on Mayo!

Didn't see the game yet as had to go away today but with reference McGee and countless like him from clubs and counties throughout Ireland sometimes you have to reap what you sow. He's a tough lad Neil, I'm sure he'll be grand

Watching the highlights of the Monaghan v Mayo game there and you can't help but notice the sound of the Mayo crowd. They really do bring massive travelling support.

Great traveling support again in Clones yesterday and two badly needed two points. I think the black card for o'se was a blessing (am I mad?) - it forced others to step up and we saw a slightly different version of attack. Caff done very well on McManus, Diarmuid O Connor continues to improve and was immense yesterday and Boyler is a leader.
We now need another win against Kerry at home this coming weekend.
Great venue Clones is, my first time there.

Who looks most likely to drop to division 2 at this stage? Down definitely going but whose going to join them. Cork I think, however my own county has a few though games ahead. I expect us to win at least two of them though.

Both Down and Cork look nailed on for relegation at the moment.

Micheal Murphy is one of the best full forwards to ever play the game why do Donegal keep playing him out around the middle of the field were he has very little impact? He goes in ff yesterday and straight away he gets a great goal.

I believe whoever wins the Cork v Monaghan game most likely to stay up. Losers likely to drop along with Down.

Agreed yew tree, mind you if the powers that be have their way Clones will be no more & we will have to travel to west Belfast for provincial finals.

Clones is a great spot & the atmosphere there on a big day is second to none.

Thought some of Mayo's players really stepped up yesterday when they needed to after O'Shea's black card. Love watching Diarmaid O'Connor ever since last summer, hopefully he will develop into the top class forward Mayo need to partner Cillian. The noise from the Mayo fans yesterday was brilliant, great to see such numbers supporting them.

Was thinking the same thing about AOS Yewtree, but for a different reason. Either they can't work out how to build the attack around him, or his wanderings all over the pitch are his own idea. He can't be a fulcrum and AWOL at the same time. He's just not got the speed or the engine to perform in a modern midfield for a full game, and this has been proven. His power at ff has also been shown and he should be the one man who never drops back. At least 2 backs would have stay at the edge of the square with him, keeping them out of the game.

Are Mayo better without him?

Good atmosphere in Clones but a kip of a place for fans in the 21st century.

such an ironic comment from an antrim man good atmosphere but a kip of a place. I think any gaa fan would pay for an atmosphere rather than an empty casement park even if it was made of gold... its the fans that make the gaa not the infrastucture

We haven't seen the best of him Clondalkin, but if he finds a way to make the players around him play better Mayo won't just be hoping for a single Sam over the next 5 or 6 years.

I would like to see casement park on ulster final day because there will be noone at it lol. When is the last time you have been to clones even ulsterman? Its got everything a stadium needs in my opinion its not 5 star facilities but i can guarantee you this when the ulster final goes to belfast every fan in ulster will be begging to take it back to clones.

Definitely won't be anyone at it if Ulsterman gets his way with his Ulster boycott!

Clones is a special place to be on match day. It's well worth the 3 hour spin once you get there. Brilliant town
