How is it possible that an intercounty ref did not see the overcarrying for the mayo goal. Mind boggling!

Who cares how many steps he took it was a class goal , do you want to see free outs or great goals?

It was the crucial moment in the game and the ref inexcusably missed it. Not good enough. Silly comment clondalkindub.

It'd be a great goal if it was within the rules of the game. It wasn't. Also I'd say Roscommon care and would have preferred a free out.

Too many steps alright but Mayo would have found the net if they had to, Roscommon very poor in the second half. And they got more than a few handy frees from the ref. A fair result in the end.

Should have been free out for the goal and a lot of questionable decisions went against us but look Mayo should have beaten us by 20 points on today's performance. A number of players not up to standard and were found out today. We needed this reality check to bring us back down a bit. Management needed this kick up the hol*. Picking players on favouritism and not selecting best options

Terrible conditions and a good game considering . Mayo very wasteful in first half and should have had the game won at half-time. Talking to some Ros lads at the game and if they can be believed this was their reserve outfit. Guess if they put out the first team come summer they'll take stopping.

Hon, D Kingdom a great win and surely a semi finals now in sight.

They could win it yet if they're in the mood! :D

Well do mayo have better players than roscommon? If so they must be second favourites for all Ireland as they beat the second best team in ireland?

Roscommon could take a hammering against the Dubs.Dubs as good as Mayo around the middle but much better up front.

We were missing 2 shines niall daly kevin higgins ultan harney and corcoran for midfield choice alone we basically played without one which didnt go well, we sent on 4 u21s who will feature diarmuid murtagh mulloly ronan daly compton who helped us pull back a bit
we also lost senan kilbride and cian connolly before match and played with no recognised full forward with enda smith trying it
Of them lads 2 shines will probably get time next week, depending on how u21s go them 5 harney, compton, diarmuid murtagh, ronan daly and mulloly may or may not be available 24 hours later gut feeling he wont bother in a dead rubber game.
We actually didnt have a full panel of subs availabe yesterday but in 2 or 3 weeks not sure on semi dates I would hope most of the panel would be available.

After all da good work Ros are now facing the prospect of playin the dubs 2 weekends on the trot...don't envy them! It could do a lot of damage 2 dem. For the rest Kerry look best placed 2 make da final but given the fact that donaghy is running the show 4 us at midfield I don't see us havin enough 2 take da dubs n croker...think another game against them will be good for Kerry tho. Donegal will prob pick up da 4th semi spot but it seemed sat nite that some of da Donegal lads don't have the legs 2 execute da defensive game plan...

If Mayo beat Down , Monaghan beat Donegal and Kerry beat Cork next weekend, that would leave Mayo , Monaghan, Donegal and Cork on 6 points. Would it come down to head to head or scoring differences to decide who goes down?

We have a score difference of 12 over donegal and 36 over cork
if donegal beat monaghan and kerry beat cork itll go on head to head and we finish 3rd
if 3 teams finish on 8 points itll go on score difference
Realistically we are looking at 3rd position meaning we play kerry in semi in all probability blacknamber

Yeah Green and Gold : it's points difference if three are level .

I can only speak for my own county . We would need to get hammered by Monaghan combined with other results going against us in order for us to go down .
