MesaMis, you really don't like vincents do you? they were a joy to watch in that final of 2014. I think your jealous that your own club cannot get anywhere near those heights...

Congrats the southside Dublin men on a fine Provincial victory.Plenty of heart and spirit, led by the swashbuckling MDMA,saw them over the line against a gallant Portlaoise side.Ballyboden held their heads late on while Portlaoise faltered.A good sign of a team.Hopefully they can go all the way.

Yeah I hate them. Defo.

They deserved their All-Ireland success in 2014 though. However they were not the overwhelming favourites that the above poster made them out to be. Connolly was the difference for them. Played some serious ball that year culminating in a sensational performance in the final. Castlebar just had no answer for him.

I agree Connolly was the difference in the 2014 final....he gave a footballing masterclass.
Mitchells loosing Richie Feeney didn't help either but I don't think it would have changed the result anyway.

Have to feel sorry for the chap that missed the last minute free..probably would have scored it 9 times out of 10 but hit it too high and with the wind on the day anything was likely to happen.

I remember missing a similiar effort a few years ago in a normal league match for the club..it didnt effect the outcome of the game but still have flashbacks of it now and again as they do seem impossible to miss.

Very interesting to see who will go all the way in the new year and some very good ties left in the competition.

Big John there in the all Ireland semi final wtf is he suppose to be targeting ffs? Well done Boden some really good players (Clayton and Basquel) will get a run for Dublin next year , scary to see Boden win Leinster I would have them at number 5 in Dublin rankings, special mention to Keaney beast of a man whose be very unlucky to miss out on '11 and the injury on his bike he'd a great game and would love to see him will the all Ireland he deserves it

Outside of Dublin clubs would any club currently in Leinster be capable (good enough) to win the All Ireland?

Great see two mayo clubs Ardnaree and Hollymount/Carramore make the Junior and Intermediate All Ireland Finals at the weekend. Interesting to note both face Kerry opposition at Croke Park Sat week. Hoping Castlebar can also join them in making the senior final.

Did anyone else see Paul Durcan playing club football in Quatar which was posted in the last few days ?
If he has been playing club football there this must make him ineligible for the Club Semi Final much like the ban Andrew Shore from Wexford previously got ?
Anyone know anymore about this ?

Maybe he's transferred out there then will transfer back to play in semi as he's already played in competion he should be ok.
Once you start a competion you can finish it in that county.

The All Ireland intermediate final between Abbeyknockmoy (Galway) and Bennettsbridge (Killkenny) promises to be a highly entertaining and physical encounter. The bookies have Bennettsbridge clear favourites but this is a strong Abbey team who have come through a difficult Galway championship and are a very competitive side. They are coached by Johnny Kelly from Portumna. They will be well organized, disciplined and have some very talented players . Hopefully the ref John Keenan from Wicklow has a good game and lets it flow. He received severe criticism after last years junior final between Creggan Kickhams and Ballysaggart, most of it over the top it has to be said. Bennettsbridge are a good side but I think the bookies have the odds wrong for this one.

Hard to see past the winners of Cross and Castlebar for the title.

Don't think Clonmel or Boden are good enough to beat either side. Could be wrong about Clonmel as I haven't seen much of them.

Best of luck to Castlebar Mitchells this weekend, I really hope they go all the way. Good balanced team with plenty of experience.

Not a great Cross side, even their own fans admit that. Castlebar by FOUR at least.

Probably true Ulsterman but if Jamie Clarke gets in the mood he's capable of beating teams on his own. And Castlebar have had Diarmuid Connolly rip through them before, though that was possibly the greatest individual club performance ever.

In fairness to Castlebar they've some decent scalps behind them- Corofin, St Brigid's, Dr. Crokes (minus the Gooch of course)...

The final is on after this game, fair play to Boden for getting this far but there only 5th or 6th best team in Dublin I don't know how they did very limited clonmel way better.

Biden obsessed with feeding passes to the runner off the ball instead of shooting when the opportunity is there. Clonmel are the opposite

Two good teams but can't see either winning the big prize.
No one will give either a chance so no pressure.
