Cross v Kilcoo should have been live on TV

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Couldn't believe TG4's decision either and actually tweeted them about it. Kilcoo v Cross, Trillick v Scotstown and Na Piarsigh v Thurles were all far bigger games than Nemo v Legion, which to be fair was always going to be one-sided in favour of Nemo. And it turned out all three other games were crackers. Nemo v Legion game was brutal. Every year we have to watch disproportionate coverage of the Mayo, Galway and Kerry club sides. I guess it's because TG4 audience and Gaeltacht areas in those counties. But I'd really have loved to have seen those other games.

Likewise, last weekend I was upset they were going to be showing Clann na Gael v Castlebar when Portlaoise v Sarsfields was on and so was the Galway hurling final, both of which looked better games.

This Sunday they'll show Castlebar v Corofin for definite. And most likely Ballygunner v Na Piarsigh. So no Galway Co Final replay which will be a great game or St Lomans v Ballyboden.

I don't have any real preferences regards hurling or football or which counties are shown. You can just tell which games are going to be close and/or exciting and both of those Ulster games yesterday were always going to be far more entertaining than Nemo v Legion.

Tg4 have shown again today what a great service the provide which makes the moaning on this thread all the more ridiculous, showing the nemo/legion and the castlebar/clamm games was the right decisions. The give every province fair coverage indeed Connacht got shown the least amount of games.

Great service?

Maybe, but not if you tried to watch it on the TG4 player online. Supposed to be deferred coverage of the Nemo and Cross games, but with around 5 minutes to go in the Nemo game it randomly cuts to some basketball game. So, missed the end of the game and no Cross-Scotstown game shown at all.

Great service indeed.

They showed 2 football games last week and 1 hurling match, to be fair to TG4 their GAA coverage is a credit to them
