What has the intercounty scene got to do with club games? Dublin are not blacked out at club level. It's very rare tg4 show a county final. I know they have shown the mayo one but I can't think of any other. They only have rights for the finals and no other rounds of the championship. I'd imagine the Dublin county final wasn't shown because there were provincial games been played and there would be bigger interest in watching a provincial game than a county final.

the point is dublin clubs have been in two of the last three all ireland finals
and have won the last three leinster titles
dublin are the all ireland champions at inter county level
yet they continue to have a blackout on club football in the capital

Exactly... we get ample opportunity to watch Dublin football! What are you begrudging Laois hurlers and making derisive comments for? I'd sooner watch the Dublin hurling final than the football because I know I'm going to see the winners in the Leinster Final against Portlaoise anyway.

Hill is not possible that the Dublin county board don't want their final shown live on tv?

Seems a bit far fetched I know but it's one reason I've heard before. Something to do with the risk that it might affect attendances, which seems a bit flawed in comparison to other counties.

I'm sure if there was a way for TG4 to show the games then they'd try and find it, some of the mid week games or replays from the last couple of years would surely have attracted a decent audience and it's not as if there'd be much else on on a Wednesday night for them to move around their schedule. At the same time though I think it's understandable that they'd show provincial championships ahead of county finals.

How did Paul Durcan do for Bodens?
Good to see him on a winning team after the nightmare of 2014 AI final.
I like tg4 coverage of club games and would have welcomed live screening of the Dublin final.
I followed the commentary on both RTE Radio one and RnaG.
Does anyone know when were Ballybodens two other titles won?
Hoping tg4 show highlights tonight @ 8.3opm

bigger interest in the laois hurling champions v wexford hurling champions
than a three in a row chasing vincents team who won the all ireland two years ago
and were among the favourites for this years title.
the dublin club scene is one of the strongest in the country and with several county players from other counties
involved in it you would think they would surely show it once in the last decade,
the kerry final and galway hurling final tends to always be on tg4

Thank you Hill , should have guessed that they would have won one with the Stynes on board.

Good to see them win and have players on county team .. seem to have a good set up there

Reason Dublin final game not on tg4 is because they weren't given the game.

TG4 tend to show both hurling and football. I'd imagine there was a lot of interest in it among the hurling fraternity. Last seasons all ireland runner ups were playing a scotstown side with a number of intercounty players and Ireland players playing. It wasn't shown live. I actually would have liked to have seen the trillick game live. One of the most exciting forwards in the country, Lee Brennan was playing and it would have been great to see him live. But it wasn't to be.

you could hardly blmae connolly yesterday
or pick him out in any different to the other players
the entire vincents team and management all turned up in the exact same form
a howler of an off day collectivly
these things happen their not robots

Id agree.
Although it is funny how this level of understanding is never extended to other players when they lose a game...

Hill if vincents won and made the all Ireland final again this year We'd see loads of them on TV. It's only fair other teams get their chance. Typical Dublin grab all mentality.

Not liking a club because of how they speak. Heard it all now. Reversed snobbery at it's finest!

Hill,
For what it's worth if your a Northsider that's no problem , everyone knows you are.
You may as well out yourself and be done with it and give the area as it's hardly giving too much away at this stage.
