I have to say he came across very well on Last Word and it's great to see him so dedicated to the community he comes from despite all the bad press it gets,The work he's putting into getting people off Social Welfare and into fitness and training programmes has to be commended.On the field,in the main,I have no problem with him as you need a certain amount of ruthlessness to succeed at the top level and all teams who win Sam have this and in fairness he is a very good ball player also.However I do draw the line at the eye gouge as it's just way too dangerous an act and could've led to permanent damage.Please spare me the 'accidental contact' as anyone who's played the game knows he knew what he was doing,but in general I like the lad and would have him as one of the first names on my team sheet any day.

100% agree runnerin. Great achievements, excellent player, any team would want him....but cant overlook how dangerous and serious eye gouging is.
