"Besides in your new role of spokesman for the DUP it will give
us some insight into the inner workings of the enemy....."

The enemy. Very mature! sure dust off your armalite and go set the world right

I most likley wrong but your comments to me come across as someone who didnt experience the troubles and only idea of what it was like is from the world of the wolfe tonnes. You seem to want to go back to a time when the province was cast in darkness. If you do I wish you well.

He left us a couple of clues in fairness to him, but this indeed was the clincher. I wonder is he and the meath royal the same person too?

Last time I checked the troubles where not limited to 6 but frequently spilt over to others. being from derry ive grown up with all sorts of names for my city, country, province, religion, island etc. I have learned to get over it and maybe you could try the same some day :)

bumpernut THANKS. Comments like he is this person or that person show the people who assume they know the story before they actually do for who they really are. Thanks you all for proving my point on this story that no one yet knows who carried out the attack. Wish id know earlier all id have to do is sing a Phil coulter song with a bit of ulster scotts thrown in. Would have saved me loads of time

I think this is more like an episode of Who Do We Think You Are. Or in fact, more like the new and improved Through the Keyhole...

Does this person wear a wee funny beard.... {looks hopefully at the audience, trying to narrow it down to either Phil or Wullie 'Abu Hamza'}

So a thread about an attack on GAA clubs has once again turned into a mixture of things

1. Northern Ireland v Republic
2. History Lesson
3. Politics

No matter what petty arguments you all want to have, there is one reason we're on this forum, GAA! Why we're on this thread could be a mixture of reason, wind up people, give a history lesson, give an ignorant opinion about whats going on in the North.

But this is a serious situation and think that HQ needs to step in and make sure there is increased security throughout the clubs in Ireland and their facilities as this could happen anywhere in the Country and it just happened to be Tyrone in the space of two weeks. I am sure that if it happen in Dublin or Kerry half of this debate would not have took place.

1787440 Well i have Said my piece on this, again if anyone can post a fundraising link i will happily contribute.
And i urge all others to do the same, that is the best way to help this club,

Why don't you start one yourself or just call them up and ask, instead of talking a great game.

I cant see how HQ can improve security. Several of my points were about improving community relations. This is the only way to stop this. Its hard enough to get volunteers for X Y and Z but to have people doing security checks may be impossible, that and if they did try and shop an attack what would happen then. we could have a death on top of it. No easy or one answer to this.

It has been classed a hate crime by the PSNI and is being investigated accordingly. DCFC...maybe watch a wee bit more of the news and your posts wouldn't be so ridiculous. Away and educate yourself before climbing back onto your high horse! Take that Meath man with you too.

DoireCity - you may find that there is never anyone got nor any motive given if previous is anything to go by. The following story from your own County kind of highlights how these are investigated and treated. The initial investigations found it to be an electrical fault. There have been manys an attack over the years put down to such ridiculous findings where unfortunately CCTV wasn't present but, unlike attacks which are on Orange Halls and classified as Sectarian almost immediately, you tend to find attacks on GAA premises are viewed differently. For this reason I wouldn't be turning round and saying lack of updates or whatever equate to no foul play and, like attacks on Orange Halls I can see them for what they are - Sectarian.

sorry offside and mmdtc2011 i dont watch the news and defiantly not the BBC i like to form my own opinion. The point I was getting at and i agree lots of if not the majority of attacks are sectarian but my issue here was people jumping the gun and making assumptions before anything was known. At no point did i not blast this attack or any other on any property in any part of the country. My issues was people jumping the gun. This kind of bandwagon mob mentality can be very dangerous as im sure you know.

i mentioned the dublin and cork club as an example of clubs being attacked with no clear motive.

So 12K stole from a club in Dublin and DCFC is having trouble figuring out what the motive was???? Maybe your just taking time in forming your opinion (if you don't follow news what source of info do you use to form this opinion?) or you are deliberately trying to link two separate incidents to try and back up some of the ridiculous posts you made on this topic previously.

Not trying to be smart DoireCity but for a guy who is as opinionated as you are on such subjects I would have thought you would be well up to date on current affairs and events over time. I for one wouldn't think about giving an opinion on something that I don't know much about or are up to date with.
