Sean I'm sure Kerry will hope for a Mayo scrappy win for a handy final win

If Mayo are such a handy team to beat why wont ye be in the final?

Dubs will win handy. Mayo won't get away with last weeks antics. The eye is on both teams and any cynical stuff will be punished early doors.

That means we have a football match most likely.

And there's only one winner of a football match.

Dubs to win handy.

I have a feeling it will be another draw and a draw after extra time!!

Replay will be next week and each team will have 13 players left each due to suspensions ..but still 2 weeks to prepare for the final so plenty of team to recoup for the battle with the reigning champs.

Just an intersting bit of information that might realign some of the scoreline prdictions being presented by Dublin Posters

First 15 minutes it was Dublin 1-04 Mayo 0-2
For the 35 minutes after first 15 minutes the scoring was Mayo 09 -Dublin 05
Next 10 minutes Dublin 1-03 Mayo 0-0
Last 15 Minutes of Game Mayo 1-4 Dublin 0-0

To me that reads that Dublin only dominated for two bursts in the game 15 minutes at the start and 10 minutes in the middle of the second half

If Mayo start well the on saturday and I believe they will Mayo will have Dublin in trouble and that is based on fact from the last game not some Sky Blue Fantasy

aidan64 - Because of the Kerry v Mayo record in the final. Surprised I had to spell that out and of course Mayo don't have a great record in the final I hear.

Last few years Dublin played Kerry we stuffed you's too. I'll leave it there.

Absolutely - People will assume it's the Ballymun Kickhams strip, you'll be fine.

1781361 I'm afraid you had your chance last Sunday and bottled it when 7pts up with 10mins to go Liam…

Your lads looked like they'd all seen ghosts walking of the pitch at Croker and I'm not surprised they were in deep shock!!! The Mayo steam train finally road into town and rolled all over the boys in blue. Mayo are on a mission this year, your boys pulled, dragged, punched, kicked and head butted your way through the game and still couldn't get home…

And now; Your king! Your lynch pin! Your talisman DC he's gone!

Mayo are coming to get you & they don't know how to lie down mate!!!

What head butting? agree with you about the Mayo boys punching dragging pulling our lads,oh and constantly whinging to the ref.

The Green & Red believes like never before and they will be ready…

Don't forget lads that unless the latest of your appeals works ye'll be without your two most influential performers in Connolly and McQuillen. Losing those 2 might be too much too overcome.

Would tip towards a Dublin win myself not by this generous margin though. Especially if ref has sharp eye on any dirty play after last week. After seeing both teams last week, Kerry have nothing to fear from either team. Well capable of beating either. Suspect that neither of the remaining 2 games will be much of a spectacle in terms of football. Plenty of defensive tactics and not much in the line of flowing football...Kerry won an AI last year with what most consider to have been a poor Kerry team. This year the team is better/playing much better so what is to stop us from back-to-back :)

Liam your like every dub I've spoken too, clearly worried but trying too mask it with over confidence. Mayo did have one tactic and it took them till they went 7 behind too realise they have to mix it up..when they did they walked past Dublin with so much ease it was nearly uncomfortable too look at, and I'm a Meath man. If mayo play that running game Saturday, and dubs are without Connolly then I think ur prediction of 7+ will be right, just probably the wrong team

Belmay - that's the most daft interpretation of a very limited breakdown of a game I've ever seen! Sure, by your own argument, if Dublin "only" dominated for two bursts, then Mayo only dominated for one - the last 15 minutes; with the second period more or less a draw with Mayo slightly outscoring Dublin, but still losing the game.

Fact is Mayo were rubbish in the first half with a terrible game plan and were kept in the game by Dublin indiscipline when answering back to the ref resulted in several frees going from maybe scoreable to very scoreable. And Mayo's period of dominance at the end can be laid firmly at the feet of Cluxton who seemed to come undone and handed several very easy scores to Mayo.

Don't get me wrong, I think that overall Mayo have the greater chance to improve the next day and I expect ye to win, but please oh please, no more of this half-baked game analysis!

I think the Dubs will win by 17 especially with the 2 tough guys Johnny and Philly at the back

I actually think Mayo will win by 17, especially with O'Connor and O'Shea's dominance from play.... Oh wait....

I think the title of this thread should be changed to something more fitting like 'will Dublin bottle it again by 7'? Mayo to play a similar defensive strategy for the opening period but pull through with plenty to spare. Mayo played within ourselves concentrating on keeping the score down and didn't find the correct balance on the day for grabbing counter-attacking scores. Expect a better balance on Saturday. One player supporting Aido will make a huge difference no matter how much Cooper and co. decide to dish out. Can't wait!!! Come on Mayo!!!!!

Sure dont you know all Kerrys all irelands are handy

Going by your strange logic Tyrone should have beaten us handy enough this year given there record against us.

Mayo are a totally different team with different management and not fair to compare them to teams in the noughties
