If it was indeed O'Connor involved, then I expect that he will be cited and brought before the CCCC. Let justice be done, and all of that.

Of course, I would naturally expect the same treatment for several Dublin players involved in striking or violent conduct incidents yesterday, including Philly McMahon, Stephen Cluxton, Diarmuid Connolly and Jonny Cooper.

Congrats Mayo. Very weird leaving croker yesterday. Mayo fans expressing unbridled joy at getting a draw whilst the Dubs were crest fallen having looked like they were in the final to hanging on at the end. Have to say the tone for the game was set early yesterday. Both teams were involved in some pretty niggly stuff but yet again the ref and the officials didn't set their stall out early enough. They threw a blind eye to the incident that left rory o' carroll needing ten stitches and then let aidan o' shea haul down cluxton. Referee did not show any interest in consulting with umpires or linesmen on the first and he didn't hand out the appropriate card for the second so setting the tone whereby both teams got involved in rugby tackling, pulling and dragging. All in all it made for a great spectacle but quality of football left a lot to be desired maybe that was due to what was at stake. Mayo seem to hold all the aces for the replay insofar as they have been in this position before, the finished yesterday the stronger, dublin could be without their entire first choice full back line and dermot connolly and all in all if they believe they can translate the last ten minutes into a more sustained effort then they will believe they are practically in the final. Dublin on the other hand finished like a team that was all over the place, potentially might have to bring in 4-5 new players and could feel that they left it behind them but I have a sneaking suspicion that it ain't over yet and next saturday could be an entirely different game.
