If the Sunday Game doesn't highlight the cynicism and dirty hits them Tyrone will have been vindicated that there is an agenda against them. If the stamps, punches and off the ball hits are not exposed I would call on EVERY Ulster county to boycott RTE and the Southern media.

McCann had his hair ruffled and went down as if shot resulting in a Monaghan player getting sent of. O'Shea was the victim of a far worse incident but stayed on his feet and the Dublin player stayed on. Who says honesty pays?

Well the Sunday Game did highlight (unfairly IMO) on a lot of went on and they did say that what the highlighted was a mere fraction of what went on. So what now? It seems we all want the game implemented to the letter of the law? Well if the rules were applied in full to that match it would have ended up 5 v 5 and the game probably would have lasted about 5 hours. From were I was sitting Mayo gave as good as they got in the off-the-ball stakes. Still rivetting to watch though.

Everyone seems to be calling for Johnny Coopers head. Yes it was a red card. But if video evidence is to be used, then maybe Cillian O'Connor's incident with Ross O'Carroll needs to be looked at again?

_______________

Ross O'Carroll wasn't playing yesterday.

Anyway, the incident with Cillian shouldn't be looked at again, Its as clear as day what happened. O'Carroll was holding onto him, O'Connor was ahead of the Dubs full back and couldnt have seen where he was, He swung his arms to try get free and caught O'Carroll in the face. No biggy. We moe on.

As for Cooper. Ref dealt with it on the day, No suspension for him.

Waynoi - this thread is on JC .

It was by a mile the worst challenge in the game .

It was worse than both PMMs head butt and COCs incident . Forget cards , he could have broke his leg .

It was a pretty bad challenge no doubt, but the ref dealt with it at the time and there can be no further action.

Tut tut TRS, another rush to judgement. What headbutt? O'Connor swung an elbow at head height at Rory O'Carroll. I don't care whether he was in front of Rory, behind him or underneath him. That's dangerous play, as evidenced by the 10 stitches, and a straight red all day long. Rory was blessed that he didn't end up with a broken eye socket. We had another Donegal man on here saying that he deserved it. Stay classy lads.

Yip Joxer : it looks like Philly didnt head butt O ' Shea after all although he does take an embarrassing dive. I remember you taking plenty of shots at the Donegal player who dived in 2011.

Where have I not been classy ? You are making stuff up kido .

Coopers challenge was a disgrace and this is what the thread is based on .

Agreed poor dive from Philly and he deserved a yellow for that. Barrett from Mayo should got one in the first for diving and holding his face after Bernard caught him on the shoulder. He sprang up as soon as the physio arrived. Bit far fetched to put this in the Donegal/McCann class in fairness. A Dublin player almost missed an AI final because of that acting.

Agree on Cooper. He got a yellow so I don't think he will get worse but he could have gotten red for that. Not like him. He's a very clean player. No qualms there though, that was a poor lunge.
