If the Sunday Game doesn't highlight the cynicism and dirty hits them Tyrone will have been vindicated that there is an agenda against them. If the stamps, punches and off the ball hits are not exposed I would call on EVERY Ulster county to boycott RTE and the Southern media. McCann had his hair ruffled and went down as if shot resulting in a Monaghan player getting sent of. O'Shea was the victim of a far worse incident but stayed on his feet and the Dublin player stayed on. Who says honesty pays? murof (Kildare) - Posts: 480 - 30/08/2015 21:08:05 1778392 Link 0 |

Well the Sunday Game did highlight (unfairly IMO) on a lot of went on and they did say that what the highlighted was a mere fraction of what went on. So what now? It seems we all want the game implemented to the letter of the law? Well if the rules were applied in full to that match it would have ended up 5 v 5 and the game probably would have lasted about 5 hours. From were I was sitting Mayo gave as good as they got in the off-the-ball stakes. Still rivetting to watch though. arock (Dublin) - Posts: 4897 - 31/08/2015 09:12:49 1778504 Link 0 |
Everyone seems to be calling for Johnny Coopers head. Yes it was a red card. But if video evidence is to be used, then maybe Cillian O'Connor's incident with Ross O'Carroll needs to be looked at again? aidan64 (Kerry) - Posts: 665 - 31/08/2015 09:24:40 1778517 Link 0 |

It was a pretty bad challenge no doubt, but the ref dealt with it at the time and there can be no further action. Marse (Dublin) - Posts: 217 - 31/08/2015 18:02:24 1779279 Link 0 |

Agreed poor dive from Philly and he deserved a yellow for that. Barrett from Mayo should got one in the first for diving and holding his face after Bernard caught him on the shoulder. He sprang up as soon as the physio arrived. Bit far fetched to put this in the Donegal/McCann class in fairness. A Dublin player almost missed an AI final because of that acting.
