Season Tickets seats for Croke Park Semi Final

I don't understand the complaint, what's wrong with Upper Cusack 705?! That's a great ticket.

Not when you're right up with the pigeons at the back wall it's not Sepp. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to be able to go and I'll take whatever ticket I'm given especially if we get to the final and I'm sorted BUT when non season ticket holders can walk in to a Centra or Super Valu and get better seats (which happens for every game)or ST holders that have attended far less games than you but are given far better seats it's pretty annoying. The whole idea of the ticket is to reward loyalty.

My point is ye don't have to leave crokepark we have to travel hundreds of miles where ever we go out side the county, in Killarney if we decide to goto the stand we're sitting on planks of tember covered in bird shit. Ye have it so handy and it's making ye soft I think.

Jackthedub, problem is you got upper cusack assigned tickets. Upper cusack was closed for our first 3 champo games and all the league games.

I am lucky enough I have lower cusack ones, but to be fair, I would sit on the roof if I had too, once I am there I do not mind!!

I always though Dublin had far more season tickets than mayo. All original season ticket were for lower cusack but that Dublin were then granted extra tickets and they were for upper cusack. If this is the case then people can hardly complain about being seated in upper cusack. As far as i know Dublin have far more season tickets than Mayo.

I get ya but your loyalty will be rewarded with an All-Ireland Final ticket if we get there, and the non season ticket holders will be scrambling for them!

That's why yer overwhelming favourites KingdomBoy. The Dubs have been pampered and we've gone soft. Yerra we even have nutritionists shoving All-Bran down the lads necks while the jerseys are conditioned with Comfort. There's a queue as long as your arm for the hot towel shaves. And this is just for the minors!

I come fom County Kerry, the land of eggs and bacon, and if you think I'm eat your fish 'n' chips, by Jayzus you're mistaken

Dublin have around 1500 'extra' season tickets over and above the original allocation, and as you say the understanding was that when the crowds got bigger, generally from Leinster final stage onwards, that these ticket holders would be given their seats in the upper Cusack. The problem for the Dublin County board, and the main reason that they don't issue more season tickets, is that these extra season tickets have to be filled from the County Boards own ticket allocation should Dublin reach an All Itreland final. That may not seem like a big problem to some, but it automatically reduces every clubs allocation for a final by between 15/17 tickets. To a club that only gets 50 tickets for a final this makes a huge difference.
Loyal supporters also have the option of a Parnell Park pass in Dublin, I think Mayo have a chairde Mayo scheme, that would ensure they qualify for final tickets if they are lucky enough to need them.

Is that such a bad thing? The tickets that go to people who never attend matches do go through clubs. I understand why the clubs would not be happy loosing some control of ticket allocations, but at an overall level, sounds about right to me.

Increase the number of season tickets, check attendances a bit more carefully and you have a system that rewards loyal fans.

Cairde Maigheo tickets are linked to and included in croke park season tickets. Do all season tickets come from county board allocation.

True, but the argument that constantly comes up is who deserves the ticket more, a fan that can go to 4 or 5 championship games during the summer, or a clubman, or woman, that puts in countless hours every week in clubs up and the down the country but can't get to every championship game their County plays.
