1. The curse. It's a very odd curse that seemingly doesn't apply to our minor, U-21 or ladies footballers, or indeed to Mayo club sides playing in All-Ireland finals.

2. Bottlers. Granted we didn't show up in a couple of finals against Kerry, but generally, we've lost finals because we haven't been good enough to win them. Likewise, it seems that for some GAA fans, every Mayo loss is a bottling act, regardless of the circumstances or respective strengths of the sides involved.

3. After any All-Ireland final: " We'd have won only the manager had an argument with player 'X' and decided not to play him."

Well thank God the good people involved in Kerry GAA were never going to let that happen and let us score 1-3 in the last 10 minutes to keep us all safe from the soccer......
