The Kerry Media, are they a militant offshoot of the Southern Media we keep hearing about?

----
Yes they are the Southern equivalent of the People's Front of Judea.

Spillane is too biased to analyse fairly any game involving kerry, just because he has the medals doesn't mean he is a good pundit and his opinions on teams and players changes by the week, the one constant is his assertion that kerry are always better than anyone else oh and the opposition don't win games its just that kerry lose them! Tomas o se is very good imo, fair, very knowledgeable and very articulate!

I would listen to all kerry pundits. Any day to Brolly or ORourke. Spillane is biased but not personal. Liston is the only cute hoor among the kerry media. All the rest are very good and balanced.

In fairness it seems like Spillane has taken a year out from talking his usual aul guff..Brolly and O Rourke seem to have taken over from him this year but i guess the year isnt over yet.

For me these guys are the best analysts by a country mile. They dont get too personal and they all know the modern game inside out.

Brolly has potential but hes too personal and its not right what he has said in the past . O ' Rourke sadly has not got a clue about football these days.

The four guys listed are the best that are on either print or TV.

Watch the coverage after last Sunday's game, Whelan cited referee decisions as THE reason why Kerry haven't been beaten so far.

At least Brolly & McEntee have been consistent in their dislike of Kerry but after the Connacht Final (I think) Whelan was asked by Lyster who was the team to beat and he said Kerry. He then criticised Bomber Liston for daring to suggest that Dublin were the team to beat (This was after the kerry Dublin QF Doubleheader at start of August)

Unfortunately for Whelan he let the mask slip on Sunday and illustrated his real feelings about us and proved my suspicions that he was bluffing (about Kerry being a legitimate threat to Dublin supremacy)

quote from Eoin Liston's column in Monday's Independent.
" For the second, the question was did Padraig McNulty dive or was he pulled down? Maybe the question of a dive was in the referee's mind
after Tyrone's win over Monaghan in the All-Ireland quarter-final, so possibly it was a case of the past coming back to haunt them.
It's hard to have any complaints about that and, overall, I thought Deegan controlled the game well"

I have hi-lighted the part I find puzzling. I think this is what people find issue with. You have too many ex Kerry footballers in the media giving their biased opinions and this feeds in to the consciousness of the public and I dare say the referees.

Another typical cute hoor article from Dara O Se today in the Times.

He has basically waded in as the heroic defender of all referees, while simultaneously pointing fingers at Aidan O'Shea and Paul Flynn - AOS for supposedly running to the press about the headbutt incident and Flynn for supposedly turning into some type of aggressive animal who roams the pitch looking for trouble to compensate for his own poor form.

So reading the subtext - if Mayo get to the final the referees should pay no heed to what happens to AOS as he's making a meal out of everything regardless. And if Dublin get there, the referee should pay close attention to that headcase Flynn lad causing trouble all day.

So see through it's not even funny, pathetic stuff from O'Se.
