Who coaches AOS, Lee Keegan, Andy Moran etc in cynical play?

I don't know. Why is that relevant?
I don't deny that those players have been cynical. Do you claim that they do it as much as their tyrone counterparts though? Surely that clear disparity is something that shouldn't be ignored? As O'Rourke pointed out, this stuff in endemic in tyrone at every level. I don't think the sporadic cynical acts by 3 players really cancels that out. Similarly, there is a big difference between a few guys doing something cynical here and there over the course of their careers, and all levels of an entire county team consistently pushing the boundaries further and further, with mass cynicism evident in their every game. Furthermore, I think it is quite disingenuous to even suggest it.

M Harte making excuses for McCann today Saying if the Monaghan man didnt ruffle his hair there would be no incident.I really hope Kerry give Tyrone a beating.Id nothing but respect for Tyrone and Micky over the years but im sick of their carry on.No smoke without fire.Too many incidents, too many aggrieved opponents. Its not sour grapes as theyve won nothing in years. It cant be jealousy.Losing friends while winning nothing is a sad state of affairs.Blame everyone else all ye want Tyrone, but the people are not stupid.

Master Colm O Rourke and Spillane have had a bee in their bonnet about Tyrone for over 10 years now, you cannot take him as genuine in his comments.

Totally agree with everything you've said. Personally embarrassed by incidents involving the County this year at Minor, U21 and Senior level. I for one will not be standing up with the "poor us, nobody likes us attitiude". Everything directed at Tyrone this year, they've only themselves to blame. Kerry please do the entire Country a favour and win well.

I don't believe it's sporadic and I could name more players, just used those 3 as examples.

It's relevant because you are scape-goating a team for whatever reason. The bold text is laughable, and you talk about disingenuity? Jokeshop!

Notice the Mayo purists, despite winning comfortably, got a black and a red card. AOS dived at the start of the 2nd half as well, but fortunately it was missed. This isn't cynicism though and it certainly isn't coached. Only entirely arbitrary and specific counties do this.

topdownfan, getting beat by wexford in the qualifiers hurts, getting to a semi final against Kerry doesn't hurt

We are cynical and have to be, most counties are. I don't think too many Mayo people will claim our team is not well versed in the dark arts!

@opa01 Watch the footage again... Rory Beggan got hit in the throat, that's why he went down.

Is it just me or is this getting out of hand.It was a shocking action by the young fella but any genuine concern has been now undermined by the opportunistic anti-northern trolls that are now out in force . Its almost institutional .
I am not a fan at all but I'm starting to want Tyrone to win the all ireland just to annoy the trolls..

He wasn't long about getting up when he saw he was being ignored.

@opa01 How many times did the Cavanaghs do the exact same thing? Not great behaviour by either party but at least they took a tackle/foul/hit of sorts. McCann was a whole different level.

Mickey Harte is so holier than thou off the field, its very annoying.

I saw a Cavan poster call the Darren Hughes tackle on Colm Cavanagh ''shocking'', please mate, don't be stupid. It was your typical cliche black card drag down, so chill out. Also on a note about the Rory Kavanagh Darren Hughes thing, we as fellas know that at times even the slightest little nick downstairs can be uncomfortable so give it a rest. Also that was a division 2 league final so if ye are still bitter then you need help

I think the Darren Hughes/McCann incident is strange. Hughes drags down Cavanagh, black card 100%. I assume that Duffy was on his way to give Hughes the black card which would have meant a red as he was already booked. Why then did he give the yellow card?? If he saw the incident then surely he can't justify a yellow?? If he didn't see the incident then why give the yellow?? It seriously calls Duffy's referring abilities into question.

Also just on Sean Cavanagh - Sean Cavanagh has been diving and feigning injury since his U-21 days. He dived to win a penalty in the 2003 Ulster Final v Monaghan. He was moved to from midfield to full forward in the second half, ironically, to get him away from Paul Finlay as Paul was destroying him.

Kevin keanes red card wasn't cynical , Keane didn't try to hide the fact he was hitting Murphy and he walked off the field like a man and if fairness to Murphy he didn't go down clutching his face although you have to ask what did murphy say to get such a reaction.

Everybody that has played football at all levels has got hit, thumped/you name it. None of us like it but it happens in all sports I think there is a lot of nonsense being posted and talked about on RTE- One would think that these type of incidents never happened before. Human nature being what it is and the desire to win means that it will continue to happened in the future and especially by the best teams. Analysis on tv will certainly not stop it. I would rather any day get sledged than thumped, as it would hurt less!. I think that 2 refs on the field would help to reduce this type of activity. May I also say that the posters from most of the counties who correctly abhor this type of activity should be aware that their own counties have consistently behaved in a similar fashion. Sometimes it is better when judging to look closer to home!!

A gentleman as always Mickey. Asking the hard question there also as to whether one players dramatics is worse than another's punch to the head? Really is strange at what outrages some gaa folks. I'd be expecting Ciaran Whelan to ask Paul Finlay to issue an apology any time soon. Lol.....as if.

Give me a break Seanie....If we were to get apologies for every punch thrown in that game by BOTH teams there would be nothing else in the media but public apologies for two weeks.
--------------------------------------------------------------
So what are you saying?Lets just pick one incident involving a player from one team and ask only that fella to apologize? Thats hardly fair is it.Lets pick one from each team.I'd say Mc Cann is fair enough on our side and I'd nominate Finlay for your team. What do you think?
