Bad decisions by Deegan have cost Tyrone. Inconsistent on the black card, touching the ball on the ground and what constitutes an improper tackle. breakingball22 (Louth) - Posts: 419 - 23/08/2015 17:02:05 1774624 Link 0 |

Great game. Kerry know how to 'close a game out' gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 23/08/2015 17:04:55 1774627 Link 0 |
Congrats to Kerry, referee was a disgrace! But Tyrone match back next year bigger and better!! joop04 (Australia) - Posts: 2 - 23/08/2015 17:06:14 1774631 Link 0 |
The reason Tyrone haven't won isn't the referee. It's a man wearing black and number 1 for them. Shocking bad. Can't believe some people think he's as good as cluxton. Well done Kerry. Can't be said that they don't have the bottle when things are tight. Missed frees and bad shot selection could have seen Tyrone through. Very good game. Better team won. I taught Maurice Deegan had a decent game. daytona11 (Kildare) - Posts: 4012 - 23/08/2015 17:07:17 1774637 Link 0 |
I would go as far to say Tyrone were robbed. How was that second penalty not given? Very poor officiating from Deegan. gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 23/08/2015 17:07:43 1774638 Link 0 |
Tyrone had their chances. Not ruthless enough in front of goal.Has been a problem all year.Woeful restarts and free kicks from Morgan and McCurry.Kerry, while far from brilliant today, are where they want to be.Mayo or Dublin,on todays viewing, will fancy their chances. cuederocket (Dublin) - Posts: 5084 - 23/08/2015 17:08:59 1774639 Link 0 |
How can you beat a great team that gets every call in there favour? clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 23/08/2015 17:09:39 1774640 Link 0 |
Despite all that, Kerry did have too much for Tyrone, glad in a way it didn't depend on some of the refs decisions. Saying that, never say that Kerry are some sort of saints and saviours of football. They're as cynical as any team and did what was needed to win. Tyrone themselves in a way would appreciate that. They beat them hard and hit hard too. I for one don't have a problem with that Loughduff Lad (Cavan) - Posts: 2407 - 23/08/2015 17:09:52 1774641 Link 0 |
Kerry it is , job done , dont think the winners of Mayo Dublin will lose too much sleep , its the opponents they probably expected , Im sure that the posters from both counties will be on in an hour or two and all hell likely to break out , suggest the ref,s performance will come under scrutiny ,for me kick outs , not taking goal chances when afforded them , and poor free kicks let Tyrone down , Kerry played with patience and took chances , good second half but wont be one that will live long in the memory . Congratulations to Kerry, they controlled the 2nd half and I wish them the best in the final against Mayo. As for Tyrone, well we have shown today we are back in business, and playing this stage at Croke park is where we should be. Played some great football out there today but came up against a team at the top of its game and I'm very proud of how the lads responded to the tsunami of negativity that came their way. brendtheredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 10897 - 23/08/2015 17:10:53 1774643 Link 0 |
As a neutral I found the refereeing atrocious. And very much in Kerry's favour. Examples: icehonesty (Wexford) - Posts: 2553 - 23/08/2015 17:12:16 1774645 Link 0 |

Did Deegan not think the following 'Why would McNulty dive there?' gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 23/08/2015 17:12:33 1774647 Link 0 |
If Tyrone take their goal chances it's a different outcome; at times they carved Kerry open. They need a few forwards to get back to being able to win SAM but they are a coming force. Tyrone were battling the media and you have to be honest today the officials also. They should have had a clear second penalty and some really, really bad decisions went against Tyrone. I wonder if the Sunday Game and Dublin media will call this out? I won't hold my breath. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9706 - 23/08/2015 17:13:09 1774649 Link 0 |
Im sure he did and thought "hes looking for a handy penalty kick".I thought it was a penalty myself, but im not one bit surprised the referee didnt give it.After giving one only a few minutes prior to that, youd nearly need to be decapitated for a ref to give another. He didnt have the bottle to give a second one in quick succession. cuederocket (Dublin) - Posts: 5084 - 23/08/2015 17:16:36 1774651 Link 0 |
