Why only 42000 at the greatest game in the world?

Its only about 15 years ago when the 2 All Ireland hurling semi's were played together. So, a brave move and a correct one to separate the 2 semis in hurling. It has worked too with ease of attaining tickets a serious plus!

In 1994 & 1996 Limerick played Antrim in the first semi and the main event was on later, both in the same ground. In 1996 It was Offaly 2-13 Galway 1-10 and in 1996 it was Wexford 2-13 Galway 3-7. I don't think either was a sell out even when the capacity was 65,000 that time. The effect of both semis being on together though was that you could see the opposition for the final. I'll never forget the roar that greeted Wexford onto the pitch or for every score. It was frightening and that feverish support carried through to the final. Great memories, even if we lost.
