AI Semi-Final Dublin V Mayo

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Yeah your right Joxer if Mayo do play an extra defender then the dubs will have a great chance of winning if they reduce their foul count.

COC has proven that he will not miss much inside the 45 so i dont expect him to be scoring 1-9 again or whatever it was from placed balls.

Dublin have 6 better scoring forwards IMO but i think it all comes down to what way Mayo approach the game from the start.

On the the other hand if Mayo do go man for man then im sure the likes of Brogan and Connolly would be complaining too much with the extra space available and they could cause wreck inside.

I have a feeling Mayo will start the game similiar enough the next day as they did in the first game but perhaps wont wait so long to make changes if they are behind.

Its hard to know where Dublin are at this stage of the week with suspensions and injuries still abit unclear so ill leave that analysis up to you and others more knowledgeable then me on how they are shaping up-)

Anyway Connolly debacle aside, that's gone, forget about it (anyway it's better for the neutral that he's back because he's a class player), really looking forward to this replay, hopefully we get a better game than the last day and I think we will, so best of luck to both teams.

Ps and if course, C'MON MAYO!!! :-)

'Before the first game, I thought Dublin would win. I've changed my mind. This time, I think Mayo will win. If Mayo run hard at the Dublin defence they will find gaps.
There was a huge lack of composure in the Dublin defence when things started to slip away on them last Sunday. Rory O'Carroll's return might bring back some leadership to that area but I feel the Mayo mental approach is very strong and that they have more heart than this Dublin team.'

Bloody right- we've got more heart. Not often I agree with a Kerryman but John O'Keeffe wrote it right in today's irish times.

Come on Mayo!!

It seems Donie went to one doctor who said he couldn't play, so he went to another doctor who also said he couldn't play. Finally he went to a third doctor who said as the first doctor took his blood pressure incorrectly he was fit to play. Yeah we were REALLY desperate.

Much better game with both sides seemingly intent on playing football.

Mayo's direct running is causing Dublin all sorts of problems.

I'm risking putting the kibosh on the rest of the game but that was incredible stuff.

The best 35 minutes of football I have seen. The skill level was incredible, ferocious intensity and the atmosphere is incredible.

Fair play to both teams

So many players are playing well but Paddy Andrews is having an unreal game so far.

DO'C and Fenton are really playing well. Fenton's foot passing in particular is outstanding as were DO'C points.

Set up nicely.

Cooper not covering himself in glory again, but if Dubs win he'll hardly lose much sleep over it. 2nd half still to catch fire

The linesman was looking straight at Johnny Cooper when he had a go at Seamus O'Shea off the ball. How is that O'Shea is the only one to be punished?
