I am a bit surprised at all the Dubs coming on here whinging about the goal decision. The ball was over the line before there was an contact. Some other blokes here are complaining about 24 frees against Dublin, to 4 against Fermanagh! Perhaps if ye knew how to tackle without fouling then the free count would be reduced!-maybe there is where you should focus your attention. Your corner back was dragging and pulling the small corner forward around the pitch even before the ball was thrown in- none of ye are complaining about that. It is obvious that a large section of your supporters do not know the rules on how to tackle.

I play the game and I still don't know what the tackle rule is could you tell me please? Some weeks I tackle a player the ref gives me a free then another week I'll do the exact same tackle and he'll give a free against me.

clondalkinindub- seriously! I would agree with you and that is a big problem how refs implement the tackle and the awarding of black cards and penalties. The different cards have not helped matters and how everything is analysed to death on tv. There was always a problem with how refs interpret the rules and I do not think that is about to change soon. Of course refs being human makes mistakes just like how players make many mistakes

I watched the "goal" again on youtube. Anyone claiming that the ball crossed the line before Quigley tackled Cluxton is making a fool of themselves. It's even doubtful if the whole of the ball actually crossed the line AFTER Quigley's charge on Cluxton. Ref and umpires should be embarrassed, that was a shocker of a decision.

This says it all really. The speed of the game, the intensity of the game makes consistent calls impossible. Couple this with allowing the game to flow, balancing incorrect or big decisions or keeping an underdog in the game, and we might as well have no rules sometimes.

Nothing surprises me with referees.After 130 years,we still have a "tackle" that is open to different interpretation by referees,with little consistency across the board.The black card rule should be called the blackguard rule,as it has completely confused everyone.An Irish solution to an Irish problem.I give the black card the red card,and lets stick with the yellow card until we find a proper solution to this fiasco.

I don't see why the Dubs are so exercised by Quigley's goal as they won the game? Could it be that they are trying to blot out their shortcoming when Corrigan got another goal? I think the Dubs are more annoyed about how Fermanagh run rings around them and highlighted the weakness they have...not much discussion about that! Finally, Kerry is the only team that people see as the likely true champions to come out of the championship this season!

Def a free kick to Cluxton, the ref made a mistake but clearly his linesmen were as useful as a hole in a bucket and gave him poor advice, he also gave too many frees to Fermanagh.
