Guys

Whattamatch!

I've been unable to use the internet, since i'm too frugal to pay the much overpriced rate for the ship internet and have been on the run since last Sunday.

Just a fantastic match! We just loved it.

Am also keystroking from Schiphol in Amsteredam for flight back and will post on the thread w/a pic or two. Stopped at Quinn's for a pint and also the large pub on the cornver of Hoganstand and the street that Quinn's is on...it has a big beer garden and was pretty much all Tipp, but everyone treated us fantastic.

A couple of takeaways.

1. The relatively good spirits between both teams fans was impressive and a surprise. The Tipp fans aournd us shook hands with the Galway fans. What!! I was shocked. Great sportsmanship.

2. The ability to hit that ball so far was impressive and the talent and effort the entire match was unforgettable.

3. You guys actually SING your national anthem. Good for you. In the states we seem too embarassed to show pariotism and many just mumble and stand around with their....

4 I waw able to pick up the game, except for some of the3 fine points. That Tipp lad could really get position on the lob passes to set up his goals. Can't believe that couoldh['t be better defended. I was mumbling at the defenders of Galway.

5. Thought after the last 3 point goal that it would take thge heart oot of Galway, but it didn't. What spirit and fun.

6. Like the guys martching around the pitch prior to the game and the crowd acknowledgment of the players and sport.

Great sport yo9u guys. Make our trip and thanks for the advice!!
