Exactly AthCliath87 the Blue Juggernaut have so many superstars that if they lost 1 or 2, they wouldn't blink for second as another would come in and blend seamlessly whereas a team like ourselves who only 1/2 players in the 'superstar' really hurt when one is missing as we are likely to find out to our cost next Sunday with JOD very likely to miss out (Impossible to recover anywhere near 100% in 3 weeks from a dislocated shoulder).

Hopefully I'm wrong, but I doubt it when a team only has 1 marquee forward and then has to deal without him, it usually leads to catastrophic circumstances

That was a freak 2nd half caused by a bad reaction to the lucky 1st goal we scored, look at how we did in the League without JOD,a kick of a ball from being relegated. Just look at how Slayer thinks we would cope against Mayo. 17 point defeat! And they wont even win their semi final! And there's a very strong chance Kerry will not either.

Because I was basically agreeing with your point that if ye lost 1 or 2 to injury ( and I dont want anyone to get hurt as I'm not an animal) that ye'd still have a load of other stars (as you listed) as well top top players waiting on the bench to supplement those already on the field.

Also Jimbo I wouldn't be raving about a win against a team ye had put to the sword after 10 minutes, if our lucky 1st goal had not of happened the other goals wouldn't have come they way they did as that 1st one totally demoralised Kildare.

Yes but Dublin are a league team and Kerry are a championship team. Kerry never treat the league seriously. They like coming in under the radar. I think they finished with 6 points from 7 games last year in the league yet still walked away with Sam. That says it all. Look at the damage inflicted by Gooch and O'Sullivan on Kildare in that second half. There isn't a team in the country that could handle that pace and precision passing.

Kildare improved after the Dubs game

Then they came up against you boys.. and look what you did to an improved Kildare team compared to the one that played Dublin...

Do you think Eamon Fitz would deliberately try to get Kerry relegated to Div 2?

That is very disrespectful to dismiss the achievement by Dublin to have the amazing consistency to win 3 in a row.

The great Kerry team of the 1970's didnt happen by accident, we won 4 leagues from 71-74 before the breakthrough in 1975. Also we won the league in 97, 04, 06 and 09 and happened to win the AI those years. Coincidence? I think not.

Finally there is only 1 team to have won multiple AI Senior Football titles in this decade and it is not the Kingdom.

If we doing that on a consistent basis in 2015 I'd agree with you but we haven't which tells you it was a freak result. Whereas the Blue Juggernaut win by 14 points in their QF and people say they were poor. Which reflects the massive expectation the media and supporters have.

He puts little emphasis on the league. That much is clear. Jim McGuinness did the same thing, he even managed to get his team relegated. I believe that Fitzmaurice has a relaxed attitude towards it. The last two years showings demonstrate this. This doesn't dilute Dublin's achievement but as every Kerry man would tell you, it's only the league! It's like Chelsea winning 3 league cups in a row. It means nothing.

I don't need to Joxer, after 15-20 mins of desperately trying to halt the Blue Machine those teams will have realised their race is run and it will dawn on them that they have to endure another 50 minutes not trying to win but to avoid humiliation and embarrassment
