Am I as confident as I was this time last year heading into a semi final the answer is "no" Am I confident we can still win Sam "absolutely"

Going to be a long 3 weeks and 3 days...

I actually think we need the full 4 weeks to sort out the tactcs/plan/issues whatever you want to call them..

I merely reminded you of something that you yourself have stated on the site numerous times and pointed out the clear irony in that statement. That isn't a personal attack.

See themaster... in order to point out irony, the point you're rather awkwardly trying to make, should really have some sort of grounding in reality.

You're simply pointing out butt kiss. :)

It's got nothing to do with the thread

It's got nothing to do with my intentions for this thread

So please stick to topic

Again I've given several examples of why I think Dublin will not win Sam this year

Debate those points... I'll gladly do that

But this is growing tiresome..

So themaster

Do you want to debate the points clearly laid out as to why I think Dublin wont win the All Ireland?

The thing it's only Dublin people saying that Kerry will win, whereas the vast majority of neutrals on HS believe it will yet another national title for the blue juggernaut (6th since 2011 comparing to our measly 1)

Not just the Dubs. Paddy Power has ye at 11/8 and the bookies know their stuff. Kerrys to lose, no doubt.

In the unlikely event that Kerry do get past Tyrone or Monaghan then our only hope of winning SAM is if Mayo or Donegal do us a favour against the dubs.

It is a year or two early for us to even challenge with the dubs at the moment as fitzy hasnt nailed down his first 15 yet. If we do meet in the final then i think most Kerry fans will be happy to keep the beating down to 4 or 5 points and then we can go home with some pride left but its a tough ask for this average Kerry team.

In a year or two your best players will be drawing their pension that is why I am convinced that the Kerry legends togging out for their swan song will bring it home this year. This year will signal the end of an era for Kerry so I expect them to go out with a flourish. Paul Galvin is a born winner. You don't coax him out of retirement for any aul pair of pink skinny jeans and tweed waistcoat. He's in it to bring Sam back to the Kingdom.

You are right joxer, we have a really ageing team..two members of our full back line are in mid 30s. Now if Dublins star studded forward players like Brogan, Connolly and Flynn cant get the better of them then ill eat my hat.

Nevermind Paul Galvin, he wont see much more then 10 minutes for the rest of the year.
You know that only about 3 of this current average Kerry players would even make the dubs starting 15. Id say O Donoghue, Moran and maybe Paul Murphy would be the players that might make yer starting 15.

If that is so how on earth do you make us favourites over the dubs. Doesnt make any sence and all the neutrals in the country know it.
Dublins to lose.

I beg to differ. Gooch, O'Sullivan, Moran, JOD, Buckley, Maher, Sheehan would all potentially make a Dublin starting 15 this year. Dublin are missing key players this year in key positions. You seem to think that youth trumps experience, which of course it doesn't, and this was shown to devastating effect by Kerry against the Lillies. As the lads were pointing out on the SG, Dublin were leaving huge gaps at the back against Fermanagh and were poor in midfield. Lose out in these two sectors against Kerry and you will be put to the sword. Make no mistake about it.

This is the sort of rubbish that makes me want to give up on HS altogether.

The vast majority of posters are genuine guys looking to express their views & enjoy a debate & have some banter along the way.

I have zero respect for trolling like this which shows no respect for the other people who want to enjoy themselves.

What to do? Just hope the admins do their job. I have had many posts culled over the years, some were fair enough, some puzzling, but those are the breaks.

To see this sort of nonsense getting through, from people who are only here a wet week, is galling in the extreme.

Anyway...

Looking forward to the weekend

May the best teams win

Be good to have all 4 Provincial Champions go through

A proper old school semi-finals... Doesn't happen too often since the back door

Happened last year unless I'm very much mistaken.
