Attract tourists ?

Why not attract local people and try and entice them to go to games regularly and make the sport more popular among people at home first ?

im no expert but the term "exhausted marketing strategy" may apply here. i.e. if they ain't interested by now they never will be.

The biggest mess the GAA have inflicted on themselves is this weekend, while it's a bank holiday in Ireland it's not in UK, why we have qualifier matches this weekend and quarterfinals is beyond me, they made a mess of the draw and dates, all qualifier games should be finished by end of July and the August bank holiday weekend should be left for the 4 quarter finals, 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday like a few years ago, try and sell package deal tickets for both days and try to attract tourists both at home and overseas to Dublin for the bank holiday weekend to watch the 4 games and spend the weekend in the city, but instead the GAA are trying to fleece the culchies this weekend

Those stats can't be accurate as the giants causeway would definitely be up there.

The GAA definitely need to market our games better abroad, there is a huge market for them, they should be creating toursit packages with Tourism Ireland etc and creating ticket bundles to allow access to Croke Park, the storehouse, zoo etc

maybe realise tourists aren't really that interested?

how many tourists would go to see a cricket game if they were in London?
similarly a rugby game in Cardiff?
or AFL game in Melbourne?
NFL game in the likes of San Fran?
